Chapter 19: promise?

Luke's POV

5 months later:

We are in New York City. It is Me and Haley's 6 month anniversary. She was getting ready for our show tonight and I snuck out to go buy her something.

They last months have been amazing with Haley. We have grown so close and she has made great friends with all the guys.

Now tonight has to be perfect. Even though I had a show, I was going to take Haley through New York after the show. I was going to take her to Central Park and have a small picnic set up when we got there.

I had 2 hours before the show so I had to hurry. I walked into one of the best jewelry stores in New York. I was going to buy Haley a promise ring. Since tour was almost over and I wouldn't be able to see her for a while I wanted her to myself.

"May I help you?" The man asked.

"Yes I'm looking for a promise ring for my girlfriend.." I looked down smiling.

He showed me some beautiful rings. But one caught my attention. It was silver with a diamond heart. And there was one for me to wear that was silver and said "endless love"

"I want these, sir." I said pointing at them.

He placed the one For Haley in an little box and I put mine on.

I looked at the time and it was 5:30. I got a taxi and took it to the venue. I got there just in time. But Haley was already there talking to Niall. I walk up to them.

"Where have you been?" She said kissing me.

"Just out.." I said smirking.

"Tell me!" She said tugging on my arm.

"Yeah! Tell Haley!" Niall said tugging on my other arm.

"Sorry guys.. It's a secret." I said hugging Haley.

I pulled Haley away and took her to the dressing room.

"Happy six months babe." I said.

"You too!" She said smiling at me.

I pulled her close and kissed her. She pulled me closer and kissed me back. We made out for a while and we pulled away breathing heavily.

"I love you." I said smiling.

"I love you more." She said kissing my nose. She rested her forehead against mine.

"Hey 2 minutes before you go on-" Harry said walking in awkwardly.

"Oh thanks man." I said giving Haley a quick kiss and walking out go the room.

Haley's POV

Luke have me a quick kiss and went to go preform leaving Harry and I alone.

"Hey." I said awkwardly.

"Hey, Haley." He said.

"I guess I better go." I was walking past him.

"Wait. Haley, I'm glad you and Luke are working out. Ever since that happened between us I haven't been very nice to you. I'm sorry, I hope we can be friends?" He said looking at me.

"Of course!" I said hugging him.

"Thank you! He said.

"Now go get ready to preform!" I said pushing him out of the door.

I was walking out of the fire when my phone rang. It wasn't mom.

"Hey mom!" I said through the phone.

"Hey! How is New York?"

"Its amazing! But I miss yall." I said getting a little sad.

"We miss you too.. So how are you and Luke?"

"We are great! But the tour has 2 more months and I don't know what we are going. I don't think I can be away from him." I said to her.

"If he really loves you y'all will wilt something out. Even I that means you moving to London with them.." My mom said crying a little.

"No! Mom I can't leave yall, and all my friends.."

"But if you really love him you might have too." She said.

"I don't know. It's a lot to think about. I have to go. Love you. And tell dad and Kelsie I love them too."

"Okay, love you Haley."

I hung up. Now I have a lot to think about.

Luke came running off the stage as one direction ran on.

"You did great, babe!" I said kissing him on the cheek.

"Cmon, I'm taking your somewhere!" He said leading me outside.

It was 9:00 and it was chilly out side. And I was wearing a crop tank took skinny jeans and heals. I was not prepared to walk.

"Where are we going?" I asked him.

"Central Park." He died grabbing my hand.

We walked for a while talking about the show, and then I saw something. It was a blanket on the ground with candles all around it.

"Luke, did you do this?" I said.

"Yeah.." He said getting a little embarrassed.

"This is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me." I said getting a little teary eyed. "Thank you so much."

"No problem babe.." He said kissing me. We sat down on the blanket and he sat up while I laid my head in his lap. We sat there in comfortable silence.

"Babe?" He said.

"Yes." I said sitting up to look at him.

"Tour is going to be over soon. And I can't help but think that when it's over what is going to happen to us? I don't want you to be with anyone else. I want you all to myself. I know you will have to go back to Texas, and I will have to go back to London, but I still want to be with you, babe. I still want I have a relationship with you no matter what. So that's why I got you this." He said pulling something out of his pocket. He opens the box and it has a beautiful ring in it.

"It's a promise ring. To promise our love to no one else.." He said looking down. I looked at it and remember when he bough me the necklace. I wear the necklace everyday. I look at the necklace around me neck then at the ring.

"I love it Luke. I'm so happy you feel like this. I was scared about after your too." I said. He put the ring on my finger.

"What is that?" I asked luke.

"It's the other ring. It goes with yours. It says endless love on it." He said showing me the ring.

I pulled him close and kissed him passionately. Not caring who would be looking or staring at us making out. He just did the nicest thing for me. While we kissed I saw a flash. We pulled away and saw paparazzi running away. I don't care.

"Luke Hemmings, I love you." I said.

"Promise?" He said looking only my eyes.

"Promise." I said pulling him closer to kiss me again.
