Chapter 5: surprise!

Luke's POV

After a while of skating, and me falling, we met up with everybody.
"What's next?" Haley spoke up.
"Well we have a about 2 weeks off from touring, my and we could stay in Texas until then?" Calum said.
"Yes! That would be awesome!" I said a little to excitedly.
"Really!" Haley screamed.
And just like that we all had a group hug in the middle of the mall.

We got into the car after about an hour of Haley shopping.
"Ughhh!" Haley groans.
"What?" I ask.
"I have stupid school tomorrow." She said madly.
"Awe well maybe I can pick you up?" I offer.
"Really? You would do that for me?"
"Yeah." I said grabbing her hand.
"Thanks. You can pick me up in the front at 3:40." She said putting her head on my shoulder.

Next day

I texted Haley and got her school address. But what she didn't know was that I was going to surprise her for lunch! I got her lunch time from her best friend Zoey, Ashton got her number and found out for me.
Zoey told me they sit on the left back table, and it wouldn't be hard to ding because her school was very small.

Haley's POV

Ughh when was it going to be lunch! I was in 6th period art right now and I was starving!
Zoey and my other friend Colton were sitting next to me. Colton was one of my best guy friends, besides Calum, Ashton, and Michael. I told Colton all about Luke and I think he was getting tired of hearing about him.
"So are yall like dating now?" Colton said laughing.
"Not yet!" Zoey said smirking.
"Whatever! he probably doesn't even like me that much." I said laughing.
"Whatever you say, but by the way he looks at you and flirts with you, I can say other wise." Zoey said.

The bell finally rang. I went downstairs and sat at our table. At our table was: me, Zoey sitting at my left, my other friend Leslie sitting to my right, crystal siting across from me, holly another one of my friends, and Alexis.
We were all sitting there talking when some one cane behind me and wrapped their arms around me.
"What the-" I started to say.
"Surprise!" Luke says as I stand up to hug him.
"What are you doing here?"
I look around and everyone is staring at us. It's not like People didn't know who he was. The entire high school was staring (I go to a small school so it was only like 200 people). Some girls already didn't like me, so this gave them more reasons to hate me.
"I wanted to give you these." He said as he pulled from behind his back some roses.
"You're so sweet!" I said pinching his cheeks.
"So am I allowed to sit with you guys or what?" He said laughing. We moved a chair in between Leslie and him. I introduced him to all my friends, but crystal and Zoey had already met him. After lunch everyone gets a free period to hang out, so me, my friends, and Luke sat in the gym. Even some girls that had never talked to me before (they don't like me) came over to talk to me just because Luke was there.
"So this is you guys school?"
"Yep. It's pretty small." I said looking around the gym.
"Should I go play basketball?" Luke questions.
Everyday after lunch everyone stays in the gym to hang out. The guys all play basketball mostly.
"If you want to." I smiled at him. And with that he left us to go play.
"Omg I can't believe he came today!" Holly spoke up.
"I know it's so sweet of him!" Leslie said. Then all of a sudden someone tapped on my shoulder. It was a senior his name was Cameron. He was my senior best friend.
"Is this your new boyfriend?" He said nodding in Luke's direction.
"Not yet!" Zoey spoke out.
With that he walked away.
"Hmm I wonder what that was about?" Alexis said.

After a while It was almost time to go to class.
"Hey you better go the bell is about to ring." I told Luke.
"No let me walk You to class!" He whined.
The bell rang and he walked me to class. He walked me to the door.
"Have a good day babe see you in a little while." he said kissing my cheek. Then he walked away.

Later he picked me up from school and we met the boys at their hotel.
"Hey Ashton," Luke said," send me that picture of me and Haley at the ice rink. "
"The one that looks like yall are about to kiss?" He said raising his eyebrows at us.
"Yeah." Luke says casually.

I get a notification on my phone.
"You tagged me in a picture on Instagram?"
"Yep." Luke says popping the "p".

It's the picture of him on top of me when he fell skating.

It said:
@haleybecerra thanks for teaching me how to skate, I could fall on you any time;)

So I commented:
Glad I could cushion your fall;)

"I look ugly in that picture."
"No. Don't say that, you look gorgeous." He pulled me in for a hug
"Hey come here, I want to show you something." Luke said grabbing my hand and leading me to the balcony.

"Where did the other guys go. They just disappeared." I said as he lead me further.
"Close your eyes. "
"Why-"
"Just close them." Luke whispered in my ear.

I close my eyes and he takes me to the balcony. They stayed on the 15th floor. He led me to the edge.
"Open your eyes. "

I slowly opened my eyes.
I looked down and I couldn't believe what I saw.

Written in huge letters laid on the cement below was:

GIRLFRIEND?

My mind was going a thousand miles an hour! Did Luke Hemmings just ask me to be his girlfriend??
I look to the right and see Ashton, Calum, and Michael, and even Zoey down there clapping!
"Soo..."
"YES!" I say!
He picks me up and spins me around.
Then he put his hand to my cheek and his face slowly got closer to mine. Before I knew it we were kissing. Believe it or not, this was my first kiss.
When he kissed me it felt like fireworks in my stomach.
We pulled apart and hugged. He took a selfie of us and posted it on Twitter and Instagram with the picture of the girlfriend question and wrote "she said yes!" With in second I got tons of followers. I also posted a picture and said "my boyfriend is the best!"

Even though I had only known him a few days it feels like I had known him for years. I really really liked him. This still all felt likes dream..
