~Y/n pov~

We asked for Crusch's help but she refused.

I understand why she did, why does she have reason to believe us.

Also if doesn't concern her anyway...

Subaru tried to get others to help but as I expected no one would.

Why would they believe something we said? Why should they trust us?

The burden falls on us, so we have to take action and something.

We set off again, all by ourselves.

But this time, we ended up bumping into some merchants and so we stayed the night there.

"What's this about Oil?" Rem asked the merchant who was wearing green.

"Oh, I just made a bit of a mistake." He told us sheepishly, "And now, I have a lot of oil that isn't worth much right now."

"Otto, I need to talk..." Subaru cut himself off, "I mean, ask for your help."

Otto looked at him in confusion.

"I'll buy all the oil in your carriage." Subaru exclaimed, "So in return, lend us transport."

He agreed.

"If we ride through the night, we should enter the Mathers domain by morning." Otto told us.

We were all sat at the front of the carriages.

"Sorry we can't take breaks." Subaru apologised.

"Not at all."

"You really need to get rid of that oil, huh?" I commented.

Otto chuckled, "You saw right through me."

We made it to this huge tree called Flügel's tree.

Mist suddenly surrounded us and people started disappearing.

"Where'd that man just go?" I asked.

"Huh? What man? What are you talking about?" Otto asked.

Subaru put on his phone flashlight and shone it beside us.

There was a massive eye.

Subaru froze in shock.

The creature let out a loud roar as we all shielded our heads.

Rem went to go and kill that thing.

Both me and Subaru protested, how could she possibly kill that huge creature?

We have no idea how strong it could be.

"We're out of the way now we should be fine." Otto told us calmly as if nothing had happened.

"How can you act like this is some sort of game. Rem is out there fighting for her life." I told him.

He turned and looked at us with a confused expression, "Who is Rem?"

My heart stopped....what....what the hell?

This has to be some sort of joke....she was just here.

"There wasn't anyone with that name from the merchants who broke off with us." Otto continued, "Who are you talking about?"

"What is wrong with you?" Subaru yelled.

"I don't know what you're talking about. Did seeing the white whale make you crazy?" Otto yelled.

"Subaru let him go." I told him sternly.
