(Marshall POV)
I had already showered and gotten dressed. It was just barely getting light out when I whispered gently in Ray's sleeping face.
"Wake up beautiful. We got a plane to catch."
She sprawled out on the bed and rubbed her tired eyes.
"Where are we going?"
"Don't say anything to the girls, but I rented out Six Flags for the day. It only takes an hour to get there by plane." I leaned in to kiss her.
"Oh my god, Nevaeh's never been to an amusement park before! She's gonna love it!" RayLynn reached her arms around my neck and pulled me down onto the bed with her. "I love you so much Marshall."
"I love you too baby." I couldn't help smiling. "C'mon get ready!"
Ray went to shower, put her hair in a messy bun, and dressed in just shorts and a T-shirt. I had already awoken our girls and they were pretty much dressed and ready to go. We were all downstairs waiting on Ray and Alaina was carrying Nevaeh on her hip.
"Uncle, where are we going?" Alaina asked.
"I'm keeping it a secret until we get there, but I will tell you it's just for the day. It's not a full-blown vacation or anything."
When Ray came down, she grabbed some granola bars, bottled waters, and put the bunch of bananas to throw in her bag. That's the mom in her, always thinking about the kids' needs. I had brought Whitney's old car seat in from the garage and buckled Nevaeh in the back of the escalade. I drove us all to the airport and we climbed into the private jet. Hailie sat with Nevaeh and was teaching her how to play tic-tac-toe. I never knew this kind of happiness. I had my beautiful woman by my side taking our kids for a fun day. Life was pretty sweet!
"I love you baby." I said lightly in RayLynn's ear and put my arm around her.
I had taken my daughters to Six Flags a few times in the past. Nevaeh was so excited to see the rollercoasters and the merry-go-round as we entered. We made our way to the little kid's rides first so Nevaeh and Whitney could ride the teacups and the mini coaster. Ray went on the merry-go-round with both of our little girl's, I watched them giggle and shriek in excitement and I snapped a few pics on my phone. I was so happy that I could spend the day with my family. My family! We never did anything like this when I was with Kim. She would always be miserable and act like it wasn't enough. Ray is the total opposite. RayLynn is bright, full of life, someone I don't want to take for granted. I love seeing her happy.
The older daughters wanted to ride the big rides and I walked over to Ray when they got off. Nevaeh ran full force at me and jumped into my arms.
"Did you see me Marshall?" She asked.
"I saw you sweetie; I took pictures of you too!" I kissed her cheek and set her down walking with her little hand in mine.
"Laney and Hailie wanna ride the bigger rides. Do you mind if I go with them?" I asked RayLynn.
"Of course not, me and the little girls will find stuff to do." She kissed me. "Have fun honey!"
God, I love this woman!
Hailie, Alaina, and I rode The Raging Bull, The Goliath, all the big coasters. Then we rode Maxx Force and went in the Justice League 4D thrill ride. We spent over an hour before I texted Ray to ask where they ended up. She texted me back that they were near The Goliath getting snacks and Hailie, Laney, and I made our way to meet up with them. We saw them walking towards us, each little girl carrying a cotton candy.
