Chapter 7- Levi's Squad

After Levi left I instantly fell asleep, I felt assured that all of my friends were safe which led me to sleep soundly.

A few hours later after falling asleep I heard creaks in the floorboards. I groaned and looked to see what the sound was coming from. There was Eren "silently" creeping into the med room.

"Sorry for waking you" he whispers

"it's alright, I'm glad you are here," I say back with a smile and outstretch my arms

Eren then invites himself onto my bed and under the covers.

"yeah sorry there is not enough room for the both of us." I chuckle and whimper as my body was still sore.

Eren then pulls me close and lays me on his chest. He then rests his chin on the top of my head, and begins to stroke my hair. "You truly are beautiful," he says then plants a kiss on my forehead. I smile and melt into his warmth and fall asleep again.

It was now the first day of training with the Levi squad, and I couldn't tell if I was excited or not. My injuries were still not fully healed but with the expedition coming up and my huge role in it led me to join a bit early. 

I met all of my new comrades, Petra, Eld, Gunther, and Oluo. Oluo was definitely one of the most annoying people I had ever met, and I found it hilarious how he tried to imitate levi.

The first thing was combat training, which as normal... did not excel in. When I had to fight Eren he got mad at me and told me to not worry about hurting him but I couldn't help it. Levi wasn't too happy with me either and made me run 100 laps. "don't hesitate, are you constipated or something, is that slowing your thinking? tch," Levi said. I really didn't know how to react to his sh*t jokes. 

Then to finish off training we decided on an ODM gear race. One spot where I excelled. 

"3, 2, 1... GO!!" Hange yelled.

I bolted off into the trees, soaring through the sky. I was fast, a lot faster than the others. however, Levi still had me and managed to get to the end first. I was in second and Eren was in last which let us just say he wasn't too happy about. 

"Levi you only won cause your so tiny, you fly through the air like a little bird!" you laughed, everybody stared at you blankly not believing you just insulted him.

"that's Captain to you, and when we get back your cleaning every inch of the cafeteria by yourself."

"huh"

"you heard me"

"It was just a joke!"

"does it look like I give a shit," Levi stared at me coldly

Hange then walked up to us "wow (y/n) your already faster than the rest of levi's squad and they've been training for much longer than you!" they all glared at me.

"anyways sorry shorty, I need (y/n) and Eren for some testing, so (y/n) can't clean today". She said as she grabbed you and Eren pulling you away from the rest of the squad.

"hey I'm supposed to watch them and I didn't agree to that" Levi says glaring at Hange

Hange helped me work on controlling my electricity, focusing it on different areas of my body, and shooting it accurately. She also tried to learn as to why my electricity clashed with the DNA of pure titans, and not with Eren's DNA, but couldn't find anything.

After a week or so Eren was able to fully control his titan, and I was able to focus my electricity in any area of my body I wanted to, shooting the electricity exactly where I wanted to still wasn't perfect but it was a lot better. 

Me and Eren continued to get closer, and I had become good friends with hange, and surprisingly Levi even though he would never admit it.

the night before the expedition

I tossed and turned in my bed. I was so nervous, this was my first expedition. I couldn't sleep and decided to go to the cafeteria to get a glass of water.

The cold concrete touched my bare feet as I left my room walking downstairs. I made it to the cafeteria and grabbed a glass of water and headed outside. I sat outside on the grass. The cold wind blew gently through my hair and the night air filled my lungs. 

I took a sip of water and almost spat it out as someone had placed their hands on my shoulders and scared the crap out of me.

I looked over to see Eren, his beautiful emerald eyes looking into my (e/c) ones.

He then sat beside me and wrapped an arm around me and I laid my head on his shoulder. We just sat there in each other's presence as it was the only thing we needed at the moment. He smelt of pine trees and I buried my head into his neck.

"can't sleep either," he says breaking the silence

"Yeah, I hate to admit it but I'm scared... so many people are going to die" I said looking down at the grass and pulling little pieces out.

"me too, and I'm scared I won't be able to protect you, though I doubt you need it." He smiled at me. I laughed and wrapped my arms around his torso again and breathed in his warmth.

After a few minutes, he grabbed my chin tilting it up so my eyes looked into his. He then took his hand and pushed a hair out of my face. "(y/n)... I've been wanting to say this for a while but... I- I love you. I want you to officially be my girlfriend, and one day more than that."

I was speechless.

I grabbed the back of his head and pulled his face towards me and kissed him passionatley. After making out for a few minutes I pulled away. I admired his beautiful eyes and perfect face and smiled. "I love you too... I'm so lucky to have met you, I couldn't imagine living in a world without you... Of course, I'll be your girlfriend."

Sorry for the kind of short chapter! I'm currently getting overwhelmed with school work, I missed a lot as I was in isolation and now I'm back at school and getting back all the work! hope you guys enjoy and leave any comments about anything I should add to the story!
