Emi-chi, I really did wish that we met last Sunday but I guess the weather really was bad that day. If you want, we can probably try to meet up again if the weather isn't as terrible as last time.

I hope you forgive me for all the teasing I did in the past.

I hope you forgive me for all my past actions.

I'm really sorry.

But, if you still want to meet, it is still up to you. And if you don't, that's still okay with me.

(I decided upon writing the characters' POV in first person because that's my usual writing style. I don't know if "style" is the correct word for it though... 😅 Hope you guys like it nonetheless~

Junki's POV
"Emi-chan..." my voice trailed off as I simply stared at my blank phone screen, after having had turned it off in order to get my mind off of everything happening. Emiri and I have been friends for quite a long time, but we suddenly separated when my family and I moved away for a while back when we were both in our last year of junior high.

I tried my best to remain in contact with her, but after she had lost all her memories during that time, I told myself that it might be better if I distance myself from her. I sincerely thought that by distancing myself from her, then it would cause her to feel a bit better about her situation. Yet, a small part of me knew that what I must be doing isn't what the best solution could be. Massaging the temples of my forehead, I released a deep exhale and decided to rest for a bit.

To be honest, I haven't been able to sleep well in the past couple of days and it's been causing me to not have enough energy all throughout the day and me getting scolded at by my group members. Opening my eyes, I turned my phone on and waited until it was time for me to meet up with my other childhood friends Kawanishi Takumi, Sato Keigo, and Yamato Marina. They invited me to a nearby karaoke place in order to catch up on recent events.

Takumi-kun told me that Emiri might be going, and although I was initially thrilled upon going fo that reason alone, I couldn't help but think that I might be putting Emiri's health at risk.

Prring! Prring!

My phone's ringer went off, alarming me and causing me to wake up from my small nap. Sleepily, I answered the phone, "H-Hello?"

"Oh uhh- Junki-kun? I have the right number right?" the other end of the line stated.

"Yes, this is he. May I ask who's calling?"

"This is Marina. Yamato Marina, your childhood friend. I was just calling to ask if you'll be coming to the karaoke event later tonight,"

"Oh! Y-Yeah!"

"Are you sure your manager is okay with it? I mean, after all, JO1 is getting pretty well-known now..." Marina's voice trailed off, worry filling her voice.

"Well, that's why I'll be sneaking out, Mari-chan..."

"Sneaking out? Oi, Kono Junki! What do you think you're doing? What if you get caught?"

"Don't worry, my group members will cover for me!"

Abruptly, our call ended, possibly due to a low cellphone signal on Marina's part. Suddenly, my phone's ringer went off. It was an e-mail alert.

"Emi-chan?" I glimpsed back down at my phone screen and skim-read through the e-mail.

Jun, I'm not so sure that I know what you're talking about. My close friends have been sending me pictures of Junki from JO1, claiming that he's you...

My friends have also been claiming that Kono Junki-kun just so happens to be my childhood friend. Meaning to say, could it be that you and Junki are one in the same?

I wouldn't know the truth until I meet you... So, I would really like to!
