A Strange Little Gem

Dragon's Breath's POV:

I was once again hanging around where I shouldn't have been. I knew I should have kept a low profile, being on the run and all, but I just wanted to have some fun. So I was at the sky arena - minding my own business, just trying to have a bit of me time.

Just like when I found the Pebbles, there was a gem at the sky arena. It was odd, seeing another gem who I didn't know - I thought I'd have been used to it by now.

The gem, odd as she seemed, had a typical gem appearance, with short blue and purple hair and the kind of clothes that Amber would wear - if Amber was interested in wearing a skirt. (I assumed the gem used she/her pronouns, though I couldn't be sure.)

The gem turned to me and stared at me with a misty look in her eyes. She was a lot shorter than me, and I couldn't exactly tell what type of gem she was. But as she stared up into my eyes, for a few seconds I felt like I was being invaded - and then that feeling went away.
"Who are you?" I asked.

The gem smirked.
"Funny how you don't know who I am, while I know who you are," she said.
"Am I, like, well-known or something?" I asked, remembering the situation with Smoky Quartz.
"Yes, you are," the gem replied mistily. "But that's not relevant right now. You see, Dragon's Breath Opal, I know everything about you. I know the fear you felt when the Diamonds believed you defective, the release of emotion when you bullied those amethysts thousands of years ago, the crippling pain when Red Spinel drilled into your gem... I know it all, Dragon's Breath. I know everything about you."
"But how?" I asked. I was pretty creeped out.

But the gem just smiled, saying nothing more.

Note: YES THIS CHAPTER IS RELEVANT. I know it's really short, and I know not much happened here but this is relevant, okay?
