"one day." renjun spoke, poking jeno's nose with his slender finger. "we're going back to hell tomorrow."

"you're so pessimistic..." jeno rolled his eyes, pushing renjun away so that he could watch tv peacefully.

"am i?" renjun asked, plopping down onto jeno's lap, one knee on each side of him.

jeno groaned, understanding that he wouldn't be able to watch tv today because his boyfriend wanted attention. not that he minded, but the show that was playing seemed really good.

"you can call school 'hell', but you need to remember that without school, we wouldn't even have been together." jeno told, his hands finding their place on renjun's thighs.

"hm... true." renjun smiled. "but i still hate it."

jeno couldn't help but grin at the thought of his and renjun's encounter.

it had happened two years before.

they were both at the school's infirmary at the same time. renjun was feeling sick, and so the nurse had allowed him to rest in one of the beds, and jeno had sprained his ankle during p.e. so he was holding an ice pack onto his feet to prevent it from swelling.

long story short, renjun hadn't slept like he was supposed to, and instead, he had chatted with jeno.

their friendship started from there.

the infirmary became their place to be – the nurse had allowed them to stay in a little room attached to the infirmary where they had a bit of privacy. they would spend lots of time sitting in there to talk about their lives.

and so, the little talks inside the infirmary became long ones, lasting more than two hours every time, and on a late tuesday afternoon, they had shared their first kiss there.

love blossomed between them faster than snow melts in a warm spring day, and so, they became boyfriends.

they learned how to love each other and one year and a half later, here they are, still madly in love with each other, ready to change boyfriends for nothing in the world.

"i love you, you know that?" jeno asked in a daze.

renjun chuckled. "i know. i am very lovable." he said.

"don't you love me?" jeno raised a brow.

"mmh... it depends..." renjun told with a smirk.

jeno teasingly slapped renjun's butt with one of his hands, making the smaller boy giggle.

"i'm joking, jeno!" he exclaimed, tryung to push jeno's hand away. "i love you. always. and forever."

renjun sealed that promise with a kiss, completely melting into jeno's embrace.

"jaemin, baby, are you sure you are okay?"

"mom..." the teenager sighed, looking at his mother desperately.

"i wanted to make sure."

"it is the fifth time you're asking me. i told you i was okay."

jaemin's mother nodded, kissing her son's forehead one last time before exiting the room.

"goodnight sweetheart."

jaemin sighed loudly, pulling his comforter over his head to warm himself up.

jaemin was frozen and stressed.

school was a few hours away.

for the first time in 8 years, jaemin would enter a school, and even study there.

he may not seem like it, but he was terrified at that idea.

what if everything went bad?

what if his accident repeated?

jaemin tried to push his dark thoughts away, wanting to replace them with good memories, but it didn't seem to work.

he couldn't seem to think about anything else than this accident that had happened 8 years ago.

school was a dangerous place. it was a place he had almost lost his life.

and now, he would go there again...

jaemin wasn't sure going back to school was a good idea.

spending your days far from home, and far from your parents.

spending your days with people you ignored everything of.

spending your days doing things you don't even like.

spending your days out of your comfort zone.

this couldn't be rewarding.

"come on..." jaemin spoke out loud. "i need to go. i need to be strong."

strength.

something he seemed to have completely lost since his fight for life 8 years ago.

sadly, he would need a lot of it now.

school was like a no man's land in the middle of a war.

you could get hit by both sides, enemies and friends, while trying to fight for your life...

quite scary for a boy with traumatic issues...

quite scary for anybody actually.

"why do i keep thinking about that?!" jaemin scolded himself. "everything is going to go well. i am sure about it."

school might be a scary and dangerous place; everything would be okay.

first, the principle of an accident is that it happens by surprise, when no one expects it. and so, it is very unlikely for two accidents to be the exact same.

second, karma may be a bitch, but jaemin already suffered too much, which meant life should be a bit nice to him.

and third, he was going to high school, people were supposed to be mature and kind. he wouldn't have unfortunate encounters. actually, jaemin could even end up meeting people that will stay important for him for the rest of his life. he could meet new people, new friends, and even a partner for life...
