"we're starting school again in two weeks, and i'm not ready at all."

"neither am i."

the two teenagers looked at the ceiling as if it was the most interesting thing existing.

actually, after two months of holidays, they felt like their lives were so dull and void.

they had spent two full months of running around, sleeping at each other's house, going on every date imaginable, and just enjoying life to its fullest.

but they seemed to have done everything possible to kill their boredom.

"jeno?" the smaller boy asked, rolling around the bed to lay on jeno's chest.

"yeah?" the younger boy replied, looking at his boyfriend's prince-like features.

"do you think we'll be in the same class this year?"

jeno chuckled, wrapping his arms around renjun's body to pull him closer.

"maybe... maybe not..."

"but i want to be with you..." renjun pouted, making jeno kiss the pout away.

"i want that too, sugar." jeno mumbled, a smirk drawing itself on his face.

renjun slightly hit jeno's chest.

"i told you not this pet name..." he whined.

"but you didn't tell me what you preferred..." it was jeno's turn to pout. "is it baby?"

"too classic."

"love?"

"too cheesy."

"pudding?"

"ew!"

"darling?"

"am i 50?"

"coconut bum?"

"seriously now?" renjun raised a brow.

jeno rolled his eyes, gluing his boyfriend's body against his.

"i told you that i call you whatever comes to my tongue..." he sighed.

"so, you could call me bitch one day..." renjun noted.

"i could never, and you know why?"

"i doubt it but- "

"because every single time i look at you, my mind gets filled with lovely thoughts and little pink and red hearts that make me fall even deeper for you..."

renjun flushed bright red, kissing jeno immediately to hid his blush the best he could.

this little kiss soon turned into a hot make out session, and minute after minute, it eventually became a long loving night during which the only noises hearable were the creaking of the bed and the two boys' moans and groans.

"we filled in the form for your new school." jaemin's father broke the comfortable silence in which the na family was having dinner.

"are you sure it is what you want?" jaemin's mother asked, turning towards jaemin to make sure she didn't miss a word of wha the was about to say.

"i am sure. it will be better for all of us."

jaemin could recall the many investments his parents had done in the previous 8 years.

the hospital fees.

the connexion fees.

the electronics fees.

the home-schooling fees.

and added to all those very expensive costs, the trauma jaemin had lived that kept haunting him and his family whatever the did.

since the accident, they haven't gone to the cinema. they haven't visited a museum. they haven't gone to a concert. they haven't gone to the beach. they haven't gone travelling...

and the list is very long...

all that, because of jaemin and his trauma.

it was so restrictive for all his family.

jaemin knew how much his father enjoyed travelling to historical sights and discover new paces around the world.

jaemin knew how much his mother loved saturday beach outings, to sunbathe and have a swim with friends.

jaemin knew all of that.

but sadly, he couldn't leave them to do those things.

jaemin's past was haunting him, and he needed support.

and who could be his support if not his parents?

"hey..." jaemin's mother awoke jaemin from a daydream by caressing his hand. "eat, it's going to get cold."she said softly.

jaemin dug in again, taking a spoonful of rice in his mouth while trying to forget about his many problems.

"aren't you scared to start going to school again?" jaemin's father asked, breaking the silence once again.

"a bit..." jaemin replied honestly. "but i need to go. how can i manage my life if i have no experience of the social world? i need a network. i need to study normally. i need to be a normal boy."

"jaemin, sweetie..." his mother smiled, putting her utensils down. "you are very normal. don't doubt it."

"i am traumatized." jaemin replied on a calm tone.

"everybody has their own traumatic experiences. they just happen to be bigger for some people."

"it is very brave of you to start going to school again. you know your mother and i admire you for that." jaemin's father told seriously. "but we don't want you to put yourself into danger. we love you the way you are."

jaemin didn't answer right away.

he let the information sink in.

they loved him for who he was.

they loved him, even with his scars and his traumas.

they loved him.

but what if he didn't love himself?
