"guess what?!"
"tell me!"
"we're in the same class!!!!" jeno yelled, picking renjun up and swirling him around in the middle of the crowd.
"yesss!" renjun exclaimed, hugging his boyfriend tight.
the two boys shared a quick kiss before jeno pulled renjun towards the school's entrance so that they could reach the class where they were supposed to get their timetables and ids.
"what class is it?" renjun asked, following jeno around.
"7D." he replied. "we have to find room 119."
"it's the one next to my art class!" renjun exclaimed, being the one to drag jeno this time.
the two boys made it inside the classroom on time, chitchatting with a few people they knew on the way. the sat next to each other, at a desk that was next to the window.
"i arrived late last year, and so i couldn't get my seat next to the window." jeno explained to justify the fact he had basically jumped on the table to make sure no one would take it from him.
renjun just rolled his eyes, not believing how much of a baby his boyfriend could be.
they didn't wait long for the teacher to enter the classroom and do his usual 'first day of school' speech. then, he designated three people to hand out the different documents that should be handed out, which allowed the whole class to start speaking again.
"hyuck isn't in the class?" renjun asked, looking around.
"he is. look at the back."
renjun did as he was told, turning around completely and seeing on of his friends, donghyuck, examining the timetable that he had been given.
feeling renjun's gaze on him, the sun kissed male raised his head, smiling and waving at renjun immediately. renjun replied with a head bow, but donghyuck's attention was already on the male that was handing out some papers.
renjun diverted his attention to him, not recognizing the boy.
"jeno?"
"yeah?" the boy asked, still concentrated on whatever was happening outside the window.
"is this a new boy?"
jeno didn't hesitate a second and turned around, making his chair screech and half of the classroom whine.
but he didn't care. it was the first day of school, and someone had already caught the eye of renjun, his boyfriend.
"i don't know him." jeno replied, his eyes glued on the fragile boy. "but i'm not interested." he added, looking at the window again.
"not interested?" renjun raised a brow, glancing from time to time at the boy.
"you are totally enough for me." he clarified.
renjun rolled his eyes. "does that mean that i am too much to handle?"
"i didn't say that. but i'm not sure having another boyfriend is something good for me." jeno told.
"jeno." renjun sighed. "i already told you that me being poly doesn't mean that you have to be too. it's not because i am poly that i can't be perfectly fine with one boyfriend only."
renjun had always been open-minded.
heterosexuals, bisexuals, homosexuals, pansexuals, polyamorous... i didn't matter to him as long as people were happy.
himself had taken a long time to understand that.
but now that he did, he was proud to announce out loud that he was gay and polyamorous. he believed that love didn't have a gender, and if you loved, you didn't need to restrain to one.
it was the first thing he had told jeno about when they became friends.
and jeno had been quite understanding. at first, he was impressed by the chinese boy, who wasn't scared of rejection. and with time going on, renjun affected him, and so, he started being more open about his sexuality, not realy caring about the fact he admitted being bisexual.
the poly question was a recurrent topic of their relationship.
it was rarely serious, because the couple would often laugh, imagining having another person to love or joking on who could be the best fit for renjun.
the few times they spoke about it seriously were during their late-night talks. obviously, they had ended with cries and long hugs, both boys being scared of losing each other because of their differences, but this only made them closer.
"you're perfectly fine with one boyfriend, but you're ready to check out the new boy's butt." jeno told blankly; making renjun stare at him.
"i'm sure you checked it out too." renjun retorted.
"yeah, and?"
"you're unbelievable..." renjun rolled his eyes. "ah, he's coming. let me see if he's as much an angel as he looks like."
the new boy approached renjun and jeno, picking a few sheets of paper out of his bundle and handing them to renjun who was looking at him with big eyes and a wide smile.
"thank you!" he beamed, hoping to receive an answer from the boy.
instead, jaemin's heartbeat got into overdrive, and he tried walking away from this table where he had received too much attention, scaring him a whole lot.
"well..." jeno snorted. "quite angel-like."
renjun kept his eyes glued on the timid boy who kept handing out papers without pronouncing a word. "i'm sure he's scared because he's new in this school."
"don't try finding excuses. everybody isn't worth your love..." jeno tried persuading his boyfriend.
"oh, yeah?" renjun raised a brow. "well, are you?"
"of course. i am lee jeno after all."
renjun smirked.
"stop seeing your dick bigger than it actually is." he said, making his pen fall on jeno's lower region on purpose.
"hey! you can't say- "
"i can say whatever i want." renjun cut him, picking his pen and twirling it between his skilled fingers. "and if i want to say that the new kid intrigues me, i say it."
