Up the stairs
Across the hall
Her heart lies between those walls
She hides her demons there
She hides her pain
She hides the places that she's been
She hides her secrets and her tears
She hides her thoughts
She hides her dreams
A place she knows to be oh so safe
A place she never wants to leave
Outside those walls
A world so cruel
A world so real
A world that's tried to change her
A world that's hated her
A world that beaten her, broken her
A world she knows so well
A world where she feels alone
A world she calls her own
A world cold and rotten to the bone
But up the stairs
Across the hall
That dimly lit room
A safe place she knows so well
A place where she doesn't have to be perfect
A place where she can be herself
That place
This is where she goes

Black And White
شِعرSeeing a Black And White world is a form of naiveté. A beautifully, chaotic way of seeing a world covered in nothing but grey.
