"TODAY WE TAKE ONE MORE STEP FORWARD!" Commander kieth yells. He does this every expedition.
"SHOW ME WHAT YOU LEARNED IN TRAINING!" he adds.
I can feel it... My insides tightening up.
"TEACH THEM THE POWER OF HUMAN RACE!" He yells again.
I look at everyone... Faces of terror. Eyes full of fear. Shaking bodies. Hands trembling.
"ALL TROOPS!!!"
I can feel my hands gripping on the reins of my horse.
"ADVANCE!"
He says lastly and we're all on a run.
Fresh wind, clear sky, birds playing on air... Its a beautiful sight.
Beside me are petra and gunther.
"Y/N! Focus!" Mike says all of a sudden.
"Yes, sir!" I replied.
I must've zoned out again. Trust me, it just feels different everytime we go outside.
How amazing would it be if everyone were to come out here to have fun... To spend the day with their family.
How exciting would it be to wake up knowing there won't be gigantic piece of shits threatening to eat you.
One day. One day it will come. Where humanity can once again walk with no fear. I still have hope. But its on thin ice.
About 14 minutes of riding...
"TITAN SPOTTED!!" one of them yells.
"At 10 o'clock!!! 15 meter class in the forest!!!" another one adds.
"Its coming this way!" I warn them.
"it's too close, we can't just slip by..." flagon says, he let's go of the reins of his horse and grips his blade.
"WE HAVE NO CHOICE ! ENGAGE!"
"Vanguard with me! The rest of the force keep advancing to the supply point!" he says and turns to another direction. To the titans direction.
"Y/N! We take charge there! Petra keep an eye on your left!" flagon yells.
"ROGER!" petra and I replied. And so we did we took a turn and met up with 4 more soldiers.
"There was a second titan hiding! 20 meter class!! Heading this way!" I yelled and lead my horse away from that shit face.
"Y/N! Distract it and lead it away from here! By any means necessary! Once another titan appears, use the smoke signals!" flagon yells.
"Understood!" even if I didn't want to do it. I can't disobey.
Once the order was out, I returned to where my spot was. Gripped on my horse even more.
"OVER HEAR YOU BIG HALF WIT!" I yelled on top of my lungs.
Somethings off.
"LISTEN TO ME!!" I was gonna switch to my maneuvering gear when.
It's an abnormal titan!
"Petra! NO!" I yelled and petra stops from switching into her maneuvering gear.
If you don't know. Abnormal titans are not that rare but also not that common to see. And we usually avoid them especially on shallow places like no tress and stuff.
As far as I know about half of the soldiers dies every expedition because of these mindless shit heads.
"IT'S AN ABNORMAL TITAN! DO NOT ENGAGE!" I yelled, heading towards flagons side.
