Twenty - "Which One?"

(Selena's POV)
He looks shocked from the question.
"Selena-"
"Answer the question." I said sternly. He sighs and looks down at our bodies. I let him think, I'll wait as long as I have to. He looks up again and his eyes meet mine. I see him lick his gorgeous naturally pink, plump lips and he takes a deep breath.

"Selena, I've loved you since.. who knows," he pauses and my heart stops.
"You're just.. I don't know. There's something about you that everybody loves." He said. "I'm sorry." He murmurs and looks down again.

"For what?" I ask as I watch him in awe.
"Everything." he says. "I left you and I shouldn't have. You needed me and I wasn't-"
"Justin-"
It took me a few seconds to comprehend what had happened. Justin's lips were pressed on mine and I was just standing there- surprised. I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him even closer, kissing him back. I feel his lips form a smile on mine. He pulled away for a second
"You're not getting rid of me this time." he whispers and presses his on mine again. His strong arms wrap around my waist and he pulls my body closer to his.
"Justin." I moan as I remember we were naked.
"Shh." he hums against my lips. This wasn't right. I wasn't gonna have sex with him here, not right now either. We aren't even official. I pull away and look up at him.
"We should get out of the bathroom and get dressed." I said. It stays silent for a minute, we stare at each other until he speaks.
"Yeah.." He said, hurt was in his voice.

It's not like I didn't like him- it's not like that at all. Trust me, if we would've told each other this years ago my virginity would be singing the "Baby
Come Back" song. (A/n: tf? Okai srry. 😳)

Justin backs away and grabs two towels, one for him and one for me. He hands me the towel and wraps his around him so it's hanging off of his hips. I see his tattoo. The small bird. I smile because I remember the day he got that tattoo.

-flashback-

Justin pops through my window and smiles widely.
"Sooo?" I asked excitedly, he'd just got a tattoo since he was finally 16 and his mom agreed. "Let me see it!" I whisper yell. Justin would sneak through my window sometimes when my dad wasn't home-or if he was asleep.

He giggles like a 6 year old and lifts up his shirt. I try to laugh quietly.
"I don't get it?" I said giggling.
"It's a bird." He said simply.
"Yeah I see, but why?" I asked.
"Remember when we went to the beach and we basically did a reenactment of that scene in The Notebook?" I stopped laughing and looked at him seriously.
"You just permanently marked your skin with a bird.. All because of a memory between us?" I asked, amazed.
"Selena, you're my best friend- and it's always gonna stay that way. It's not a crime if I get a tattoo of an awesome memory." he says, sitting beside me. I smile and flush.
"Idiot." I said.
"Your idiot." He adds, nudging me. I turn to look at him and laugh.
"Yeah.. my idiot." I said, messing up his styled hair.

"What's so funny Miss Gomez?" I hear Justin's voice ask me.
"Huh?" I snap out of my flashback and my eyes find his brown ones.
"You were laughing, I just wanted to know what was so funny?" He asked again. I stare at him for a second, or more seconds. A lot more seconds.

"Remember when you got that tattoo?" He laughs.

"Which one?" He asked, joking about the millions he had. I laugh with him and walk closer. I point to the small bird. He looks down to see what I'm pointing at.

"Yeah. I do." he said. I could hear the smile on his face in his voice. I look up at him and smile with him.

"Do you wanna go to dinner tonight?" I heard his voice ask.
"What?"I asked, surprised. He caught me off guard. Not fair.
"Dinner? Tonight, with me?" he said, repeating himself.
"Oh, I- I guess?" I said, bitting my bottom lip nervously. Is this a date? Did he just ask me on a date?
I see his lips twitch into that gorgeous smile of his and he nods.
"Cool, we'll leave at 7:30." he said, he kissed my forehead and skipped out of the room.
