There she sat. Alone, locked away in Flopside Pit of 100 Trials, hidden from the world. One thought on her mind. "Revenge."
She had been sitting, planning, for years.
"Revenge. I need revenge. I must strike down the ancient's descendants." She sat, and waited. She plotted. She needed to be smart about this, there was little room for error. She refused to be cast behind the shadows again. Not this time. She would not fail.
She needed an army, she needed to eliminate threats, she needed a fool proof plan, and after years of sitting, thinking to herself, she finally had one.
"I need..... them."
She told herself.
"I need....to kill them."
She had a small, poorly drawn picture in her hands. On it, there was a red blob, two green blobs, and a purple blob. "With them out of the way, I can finally get my revenge." She said, as she crumpled the drawing in her hands. "And no hero's are gonna stop me this time."
In the Mushroom Kingdom, all was well. Mr. L and Dimentio were happy with their lives, though they missed the adventure. Luigi was actually pretty happy. He tended to spend a lot of time with Daisy. He really did love her. He still lived with his brother, whom he also loved dearly. Occasionally he would hang out with Dimentio and Mr. L. Though the two of them often made fun of him for his oversized heart, they actually grew to really enjoy his company. They loved his enthusiasm and bright look on the world. Everything had been pretty quiet for the past few months.
The Dark Prognosticus was hidden away in Luigi's house. Luigi was the only one who knew where it was, not even Mario knew. The effects the Dark Prognosticus had on Bowser eventually wore off, but the people of Mushroom Kingdom kept him under surveillance to make sure he didn't pull anything suspicious. Everything seemed perfect.
It had been a few months since the big incident with Bowser, but it felt like that was a lifetime ago. The people of the Mushroom Kingdom recognized Luigi, Mr. L and Dimentio as heroes, even though they still had sour feelings towards Dimentio. They had pretty much grown to trust Mr. L, but it took a lot of convincing from Mr. L and Luigi to get them to let Dimentio roam free. Even after helping save the day, the people of the mushroom Kingdom still wanted Dimentio locked away, but Luigi assured them that there was nothing to fear.
A few people still gave Dimentio disapproving looks, but some actually looked up to him. Dimentio was out one day when a toad child walked up to him and called him their hero. This made Dimentio smile. To be called a hero. It was a new feeling. A nice feeling.
Dimentio and Mr. L lived happily in their home. They agreed that they would see everything the world had to offer, and that's what they did. They traveled the length of the Mushroom kingdom, and even outside of it. Mr. L wanted to see everything, explore the whole galaxy, go on adventures of his own. He wanted to give Dimentio the stars. Dimentio, was simply just happy to be there with Mr. L. They were taking a pause on their mission to travel the world, to spend some time at their home. They often would spend a month travelling, and a month home. They had just recently arrived home yet again.
They were in their house, getting settled in again when Luigi burst though the door. Dimentio quickly grabbed for his mask. He would take it off when it was just him and L, but he still wanted it on when anyone else was near him. It was a personal thing.
Mr. L turned to Luigi, an annoyed look on his face. "Hey, what did we say about just barging in?" Mr. L asked Luigi. Luigi looked down and smirked a little "Right, right. Let me try that again." Luigi walked outside, shut the door, then knocked on it, before bursting in. "Better?" He smiled. Mr. L rolled his eyes. "Sure. Sure."
Luigi immediately ran in and hugged both Mr. L and Dimentio. "I'm so glad you guys are back! Don't worry, I've been taking care of your house, making sure none of your plants died! I even named them!" Mr. L looked over at a new line of plants by the window. "Uhh, Luigi, we never had any plants." Luigi beamed. "Ohh, right! Well, I thought that some plants might liven the place up, so I got you guys some plants and took care of them for you!" Luigi let go of them, and smiled. Dimentio looked over at the plants. "Heh, charming. I like them! What are their names?" Mr. L rolled his eyes while Luigi started explaining. "I call this little flower 'Flowey', and this little plant is 'Planty the Potted Plant!' What do you think of them?" Mr. L smirked. "Wow, real creative with the names there." Luigi smiled, not realizing that Mr. L was being sarcastic.
Luigi really did miss Mr. L and Dimentio while they were gone. He never wanted to admit it, but other than them and Daisy, he didn't have many friends. Most people just thought of him as, 'Mario's brother.' But he was fine with that, because in reality, you only need a few really good friends to be happy. Even though he often was the third wheel, he didn't tend to care. Most times he barely noticed. While they were gone, he had gotten pretty lonely. He did hang out with Daisy and Mario a lot, but he still felt lonely when Dimentio and Mr. L were gone. That's why he got them some plants, so he could do something for them while they were out seeing the world.
Meanwhile, Mario was pacing through his own house. He always felt somewhat nervous whenever Luigi went to visit L and Dimentio. He decided to clean the place up in order to take his mind off it, when he found himself in the basement where Luigi kept his Diary again. He hadn't really read through it since that one time all those years ago. His curiosity led him to flip though the pages. "Huh, looks like Luigi hasn't written in this for a while." Most of the new pages were blank. Mario looked at some the earlier entries, when one specifically caught his mind. "Super Dimentio?"
Eventually, Luigi went home, after spending who knows how long talking about how much fun he had taking care of the plants. Mr. L sighed after Luigi left. "I love the guy, but how did I spend so much of my life being apart of him?" Dimentio chuckled. "Come on, we both know you missed the guy. And if it weren't for him, neither of us would be here." Mr. L smiled. "Yeah, I know, I know."
Dimentio loved this life. Everything was so happy. He knew his past actions would always haunt him, but he couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. There really is a happy ending out there for everyone.
