She made her way out, it was actually rather easy. Slipping away in the shadows. Every since the hero's came through all that time ago and saved the day, security everywhere had become more relaxed. Most people here felt like they had nothing left to worry about. "Heh, boy are they wrong."
"I'm coming."
"Hey, Luigi? I've been meaning to ask you something" Mario sad when the two were eating breakfast one morning. "Mario? What is it?" Luigi asked, while shoving some eggs in his mouth. Mario seemed nervous. He sighed. "Okay, here I go....it's about your friends. L and Dimentio."
Luigi looked over at him. "Yeah? What about them? Mario looked down. "Look, I know they've done good things and I know you love them, but I was recently reminded of how dangerous they are. Especially together, and with you. I don't want them taking you and doing another thing like Super Dimentio." Luigi had a shocked expression on his face.
"W-Where is this coming from, Mario? Trust me, they're fine. They wouldn't do that." Mario looked nervous. "I was re-reading your diary, and I looked back on the pages from a long time ago, and I saw what you wrote about how you were feeling when you were Super Dimentio. I saw entries talking about how much Dimentio and Mr. L scared you."
"Whoa, whoa, WHOA! Hang on, YOU READ MY DIARY?? MARIO!" Mario looked at him. "I just don't want them to betray your trust. Maybe they're playing you. I wouldn't be surprised." Luigi seemed upset. "Or maybe they actually want to be MY friend. Mario, they aren't playing me. I wrote that stuff down a long long time ago, but we've all changed since then! Please understand!"
"I hate doing this, but I have to be the older brother. Really, I know you love them, but I really don't want them betraying you. Do you know how devastated you would be if that happened??" Luigi's eyes hardened. "They aren't going to do that, Please Mario, I know you are determined to help me, but trust me, they've changed." Mario responded. "I really hate doing this, but now that they're back, I really don't want you hanging out with them as much. Whenever you go up to see them I get this feeling like something bad is going to happen." Luigi stood up from the table. "NO! MARIO, THEY ARE MY ONLY FRIENDS! PLEASE!" Mario tried staying calm. "I put up with you giving them that land to live on, which was on it's own, a major threat to the Mushroom Kingdom, and I even begun to let my guard down on them, but after being reminded of what they are, I just can't let my only brother hang around two of the potentially most dangerous beings out there."
Luigi got up and stormed out of his house. Mario was always so concerned with safety and stuff, but he never thought about how much he restricted Luigi. "I need to hide that Diary. Why can't Mario just trust them like I do?? They've already proven themselves!" Luigi, frustrated, walked out to the woods to have some alone time.
He sat down, resting his back against a tree. He placed his hands over his face. "Mario just doesn't understand. He has so many friends, and so many other things to worry about, why can't he just let me be?"
"Someone seems upset, what happened this time?" A voice came from the other side of the tree Luigi was resting against. Luigi jerked around, to see Mr. L standing up, leaning against the other side of the tree and drinking a shroom shake. "Whoa! When did you get here??" Luigi asked, slightly shocked. "Ehh, I was just passing through the woods, on my way to town to buy more of these" He pointed down to his shroom shake, then continued, "When I heard someone moping around." Luigi sighed. Mr. L walked around the tree so he was standing in front of Luigi, then crossed his arms. "So what's the problem?"
