What if?

Chapter 3

Celeana~

I was looking for Sam but he found me first.

He was bouncing up and down like a dog who just got a new bone.

"Celeana!" he yelled at me.

"What" I not so quietly yelled back I was still pretty shook up from my encounter with Aedion earlier so I didn't have much patience.

"I got a job and we can do it together" he said calmly.

I was so eager to leave this place and get away from my past quickly agreed to ou with out thinking about what the job would be.

"Do you know whats great about this job" he asked.

I was about to reply but he continued "Our employer is the General of the Kings Army!" he said.

To him nothing was wrong with this but I was panicking and cursing myself inside about how stupid I was to agree to this.

I already agreed to it and I feel like now I can't back out, so I guess I'm stuck going on a family rode trip.

Great.

As I  walk back to my rom to pack I run into the one person I do not want to see, Aedion.

I swear he has some type of radar to find me when I least want him to.

"Couldn't resist my charm could you?" he jeered.

"Sure" I reply wanting to get out of there as soon as I could.

I know that I'll have to see him and talk to him since I will be working for him but I can't deal with it right now.

"Someone in a bad mood" he joked.

"Aedion Ashvyer if you don't shut up right now I will make you" I hissed.

I had already made a mistake but I couldn't take it back.

"Say that again" he begged.

"If you don't shut up right now I will make you" I repeated while keeping my back turned to him.

"No my name" he continued.

"Why" I asked avoiding the obvious.

"Because I've only met one person who says my name like that and if you know where she is I need to know" he asked.

"I'm sorry I can't" I say then I take off down the hall to my room I feel like a coward for running for the second time that day but I have no other choice.

Sam~

After Celeana and I parted ways I realize that I never got to ask her why she ran at lunch today.

I will just have to ask her later today.

Suddenly the door to our room bangs open.

Celeana runs in a quickly shut in behind her.

She looks absolutely terrified but before I can ask her whats wrong she turns to me and says "Pack your stuff, I wish I could give you an explanation but I can't. Please just listen to me and don't ask questions" she finishes. 

Then theres a knock at the door "Please I know your in there I just want answers" the General calls from the other side of the door.

He sounds so desperate he seems so cold and calculating when I talked to him earlier but now he just sounds broken and tired.

"What's he talking about" I ask in a hushed voice.

But she pays no attention to me as the Prince tries again "You would be helping Terrasan please" 

"Terrasan's gone everyone was murdered your cousin is dead" she replies sounding emotionless in stark contrast to the man on the other side of the door.

There's silence for minute "No..... she's not" Aedion says sounding unsure of himself.

"She's in the-" he start to say but Celeana is already at the door.

She pulls open the door with so much force I think it may fall of the hinges "Sam stay here" she says from underneath her hood.

Then she leads the Prince away from our room leaving mother sitting in confusion
