Chapter 10

Aelin~

The second we got into my apartment I collapsed and let all of my bottled up emotions come out, I was glad the apartment was empty I did't want any one to see me like this I was the future queen and a queen was supposed to be strong and she should't let one boys words get to her.

But what Sam said hurt, I was going to tell him my name but with that name came my heritage and if he reacted that badly to just seeing a fae how would he feel that someone that he's known for years is a creature that he despises. 

Before I can say anything to the two boys standing above me I feel Rowan's strong arms wrap around me and lift me into the air, I do nothing and just bury my self keeping into his arms.

After just sitting in silence for a while Aedion finally speaks "do you want to talk about it" he asks "I know I should be this upset but Sam matters to me and now I know he won't except me" I tell them.

"It does't matter what he thinks you've got us" he responds to me "I know I should't care but I do and I hate that" I tell him this time Rowan responds "You can care you just need to learn to not let it bother you, it will be hard for a while but you will learn" he says "thanks" I whisper then get up, wipe my tears and go to my room to change.

In a few minutes I come out "come on buzzard you stink" I say while dragging Rowan to the bathroom. 

We sit and catch up then we head back into the living room where Aedion is sitting we all talk for a little bit them Rowan asks "do you know who sired" to Aedion "no I don't" Aedion replies "your father is Gavriel I can tell by your scent" Rowan reveals. 

Aedion just sits in silence that after a minute he says "oh" and that was that.

Then Rowan let it slip that he was blood sworn to me and Aedion was really mad he stormed out of the apartment.

I turned to Rowan and said "you better not follow this pattern of boys getting pissy over stupid things" he nodded his head and we continued on with our day.

Sam~

I did't know where else to go so I headed back to Chaol's house.

When I get there he opens the door and says "what happened you look awful" I tell him how I insulted Rowan and fae by the time I finish my story his face looks like it is about to burst from holding in laughter. 

"Whats so funny" I ask him "Oh you don't know Celeanas.." he chucked to him self after he said her name then he continued "great grandmother was fae so all of her family has fae blood in them you just insulted her and her family". 

"but she's never shown any signs of being fae and why would't she have just told me" I ask "trust me I've seen it besides she was probably worried about how you would react and you just confirmed her fear plus it seems like she was suppressing her past at least she was but now that she's with him I doubt she cares any more" he said really speaking to himself more then to me.

"but how does she know all of these important people" I ask "don't worry she is plenty important as well next time you see Celeana and Aedion take a good look maybe that will help" he tells me. 

Then he leaves saying he and Neseryn had to talk.

I sit down and decide to make a list of all of the strange things that had happened 

1. Celeana knows a bunch of high up people like Prince Aedion Ashver, Prince Rowan Whithorn, Prince Dorian, and Prince Galan Ashver.

2. Her great grandmother was fae

3. Aedion almost called her something that started with an A

It was't much but it was something, I sit and stare at my list then I see a book sitting a the table it was chronicles from ten years ago I look at the lords and ladies of Terrasan I had decided that Celeana must have been a Lady before she became a assassin.

I sit and look over the family trees and decide that she must be Lady Eldie Lochen of Pernath not everything matched up but it was the closest I could find.

(If only he had looked at the next page were the poem about Ashver eyes was written.)
