I showed up at Aunt Joanna's house and was immediately greeted with a hug.
"Gosh, we have so much stuff to talk about. Especially since I haven't seen you since Romeo's 4th birthday." She said smiling.
"I know, ugh I have not been thinking straight lately." I said, looking at my car full of groceries.
"That's okay, you can store them in my place until you leave, since you'll be here for an hour or so. Don't want them going bad now do you?"
After taking all the groceries and storing them up so they didn't spoil, we got to work.
Joanna sat at her laptop and I leant against the counter as we discussed different cases.
"First things first, have you heard from your sister?" She asked, looking up.
"What?" I asked before realizing it has been forever since I did see her.
"She hasn't been in our radar for 6 months. She's gone M.I.A. We thought that you would've known something about her where abouts since she is your sister." She said concerned.
"No....I haven't heard from her at all. Last time we talked was Romeo's birthday party. She said she was going on a mission you assigned her to. What do you think happened?" I asked worriedly, considering this is my little sister.
"Angela....we never said anything about a mission to her. Where ever she is, she went voluntarily because if not, she would've been smart enough to get ahold of one of us."
I stayed silent thinking about why she would disappear like that. Did Derek get ahold of her and threaten her? Automatically, that made me start thinking about the whole letter thing.
"Ang, has Derek talked to you lately?" She asked suddenly.
"No, not since the fire. I'm just worried about the letter he wrote when we first brought Romeo home." I said, looking down.
Joanna put her hand on my shoulder for comfort. "Ang, I know that Derek can hold grudges for a very long time, but there is no way he can get out. That prison is packed with security."
"Okay." I said before my phone started ringing. I was quick to answer it, hoping that it would get me off this topic.
"Hello?"
"Hey baby, did you already finish grocery shopping?" Ross asked.
"Yes, why?"
"Because um..... Rocky, Brianna, and Ty are coming back to our place and I was making sure you had enough food."
"Shor, you are so lucky I got extra. I'll be there soon."
"Okay baby, I love you."
"Love you too."
I hung up the phone and soon after Joanna and I finished up, I gathered the groceries back in the car and headed home.
I walked in the door to hear kids shrieking and the guys giggling. Brianna approached me from the living room.
"Oh thank god you're finally here. You have no idea what it was like to be surrounded by boys." She exclaimed.
