Chapter 6

Ang P.O.V.

Ross immediately got out of the car and darted for the burning building. I got out and followed, but was stopped by him near the front. "No Ang, I can't let you go in there. I'll be sure to get everyone. Just stay safe." I backed up as he ran in, not wanting to argue as our only kid could be burning alive.

I was pacing back and forth, waiting for Ross' return when I saw someone at the side of the building. I started running towards them to see if they were the culprit. When I got there, I ran into Riker.

"Woah, calm down everyone is safe." He said, holding me still.

"Wh-what?" I asked confused. I looked behind him to see Romeo, Raven, Angel, Bri, and Rocky.

"We got here just in time to get everyone out, the firefighters are going to be here soon." He explained.

"But Ross...." I widened my eyes and started running back to the front entrance. I hesitated about running in before realizing Ross was in there and I've been in worse than this. I ran in and met the roaring flames with the broken down wood. I tried my best to get past all the different threats of that building.

"Ross!" I screamed, immediately coughing afterwards due to the smoke in my lungs. I walked up the steps, hoping he'd be up here all right. I caught glimpse of him running into a room, across the staircase. I ran to follow him. I finally came close to the room when he ran back out. "Ross!" I tried screaming again, but it came out more quiet than the last followed by more coughs.

He turned and saw me,"What are you doing in here? I told you to stay."

"Riker and Rocky already got everyone before we got here. They're outside." I replied right before more wood from the roof caved in and fell in the room he was in before.

"Let's get out of here." He grabbed my hand and lead me to the stairs, avoiding everything.

We made it down the stairs before I heard a loud crack. Next thing I know, I feel a pain in my head and everything goes black.

Ross P.O.V

I sat there in the waiting room of the hospital, waiting for the doctor to come and let me see her. I should've done something to prevent this. I should have kept her in front of me, that way I was to get hurt, not her. Heck, I shouldn't have ever had anything to do with Chelsea then she wouldn't have called that stupid hit. No, because if she didn't call it, I would've never met Ang. Oh my god, there's no getting good results! Please, just be alright Ang. Then I'll be perfectly fine.

The doctor came out in the waiting room and everyone looked up. I adjusted Romeo's sleeping body on my shoulder before standing up and meeting him half way. Romeo nuzzled his head into my neck.

"How is she?" I asked worried.

"She's going to be fine. When she got hit, she was only hit unconscious for awhile and will awake very soon, nothing serious. But, what you should probably worry about is all that smoke she inhaled trying to find you. She might have shortage of breath every now and then so try not doing anything to get her wild up whether its making her angry or cry because that's when people need the most air to breathe. Are we clear?"

"Yeah, totally. When do you think she can come home?" I asked.

"Whenever she awakes, should be around midnight I presume." The doctor explained.

"Thank God!" I exclaimed.

"You can see her if you want." I widened my eyes before following the doctor to her room. To my convenience, it was the same room she was in before she ran away.

I looked at her unconscious body before sitting down next to her. I took my free hand and moved some of her hair behind her ear. She stirred awake at the touch.

"Mmm Ross? What....what happened?" She asked, rubbing her eye.

"You got knocked out at Angel and Riker's place and you got smoke inhalation in you. The doctor said it wasn't anything serious, just try staying calm because of your shortage of breath." I explained.

"Oh gosh," she looked over and reached her arms up. "Give me my baby." She demanded.

I chuckled, "Alrighty then." She started laughing as I gave her Romeo. I admired our 6 month old and his mother as she did the same thing, then out of nowhere.

"Ma...ma" I immediately became shocked as Ang looked at me with the same expression.

"Did you hear that?!" She exclaimed.

"He said mama. He said mama!" I got more excited.

I leaned over and kissed her forehead before kissing my son's. Right then was when all the bad things cleared my mind.

Chapter 6!!! It may be short but hey, I had writers block and you can't blame a girl for trying. Question of the chapter.
