Chapter 15

I woke up to see Ross beside me, on my laptop. I sat up, "Babe, why are you on my laptop? How did you even find it?"

"Ang, I have been married to you for more than five years. I am well aware that you are a spy, therefore I know all the secret things you have and do, which includes the false bottom on the trunk of your car that holds all of your electronics, guns, and stuff like that. So, that is one thing that makes me like the fact that Riker's car was destroyed, not yours." Ross explained.

"Gee thanks Ross, I definitely feel that family love and bond you were talking about last night." Riker said, rolling out of his bed.

"Yeah, nobody's car should be vandalized like that. And that doesn't explain why you are on it."

He sighed, "Last night I had a dream and it spoke to me, and gave me a few hints about the case about our son."

I looked on the screen, "How is Lucas Reynolds a hint of this case?"

"Okay, well in my dream, I was visited by Mia..."

"Mia, did you ask her why she did this?" I interrupted.

"I did and she told me that she couldn't tell me since it was just my dream and in order for her to tell me, I had to know. But, she did help me figure something out that I didn't know I knew. She told me that there was someone that I didn't trust from the beginning at Maia's wedding. I thought about it and," He gestured to the screen.

"Why is it you don't trust him?" I asked.

"Think about it, me and you both mistaken Lucas for Derek at the wedding when he was talking to Romeo.."

"Yea, he's a doppelganger of Derek, what does that have that anything to do with it?" I asked.

"Oh my gosh! Babe! You're supposed to be smart, you're a fucking secret agent."

"Well, get to the point and don't yell at me! There's no time for riddles."

"Lucas is Derek' brother." Ross simply stated.

"No.....That can't be. Wouldn't Maia know? Hell, I would know. I lived with Derek my whole life, I think I would notice another boy."

"Not your whole life. Didn't you say you got there when you were five? Plus, Lucas is older than you and most likely Derek too since you and him are practically the same age. He could've left before you got there."

I just looked at him, trying to comprehend where he got the facts from. "Where did you get all of this?"

"Well in my dream, once I mentioned his name, Mia disappeared. Plus, I did some research on Lucas....."

"Wait, you practically did a back up check on you're friend's husband? Dude, you're such a girl!" Riker says as he gets up out of bed and heads to the bathroom. Few seconds after, we heard the shower turn on.

"Anyway, I pulled up this website and it turns out, Lucas was in a foster home when he was two."

I widened my eyes, "What?!" I pulled the laptop off his lap and looked on the screen. "His mom took him away from his Dad after she went to the hospital on September 5th 1994.......She had given birth to a child and five days after the baby went home, the mother came back and tried to take her baby as well, but couldn't. She claimed that even if she couldn't take her child back, the father would never see their other son again. She had made a restraining order for Lucas against the father........Three months later, the mother was found dead in her apartment and since the restraining order was already created, Lucas went into a foster home instead of going back with his father. When Lucas turned 18, he went to go see his younger brother and about 3 years later, his father died and his brother was sent to prison. The reason is unknown."
