Chapter 16

"Okay, Bri since you are here now, you can take Riker home while me and Ross go find Romeo." I said, packing up my back.

"Wait, why can't we come with you?" Bri said. "You may need my help again, you needed it a few minutes ago."

"Yea, plus they destroyed my car so I'm officially a part of this." Riker chimed in.

"Guys, I barely wanted Ross to be a part of this..." I started.

"Which I am." Ross interrupted.

"So, I really don't want to get everyone in a mess like I did last time. You both have your families at home waiting for you and I don't want to be the reason behind if something happens to you. Like Riker's car, that was just a warning, if you continue, you or possibly your family could be in danger. Rocky, Angel, and both of your kids are at home waiting for you." I explained.

Ross went to speak, but I spoke up first. "And before you start talking about that family bonding you mentioned yesterday, let me say this. I know Derek's intentions and he won't try hurting me, especially since I'm pregnant. But he WILL hurt any of you if you follow me, and I already ruined my family. I don't want to ruin your alls too." I picked up my bag, "I'm going to go put the stuff back in the car." I walked outside to where the car was before putting in the code to unlock the door.

When the door unlocked, I went to press the button to pop the trunk, but it didn't work. A look of confusion crossed my face as I pressed it again. Nothing. I sighed dramatically, "Are you serious?!"

I put the bag down in the front seat as I reached over to the glove box to get the keys. I opened it up and grabbed them when they knocked something onto the ground. I rolled my eyes. Typical. I went to go grab what had fell when I actually saw what it was. It was the matching charm bracelet Angel and Bri had gotten me the day I got my bike. I picked it up and looked at it.

I lifted the friendship charm and turned it over. In tiny letters it said, 'Stick Together'. I sighed to myself.

Ross P.O.V.

I laid down on the bed and went through my phone, going through my news feed back to when everything was normal. I got a notification on Instagram that someone had liked my photo. I clicked on it and saw that it was the picture I had taken of Ang and Romeo before we had went to the wedding. Romeo had his small hand placed on her baby bump and they were looking at each other smiling. I had captioned it, 'These 3 are my world!'. I smiled to myself.

"What's with that smile?" Bri asked, looking at me.

I showed her the picture before sighing, "I miss him."

"Don't worry Ross. You will get your son back very soon." She comforted.

"I can't believe I let this happen though. All this time I see Ang worrying about how his 5th birthday was coming up soon then thinks back to the note he wrote, I should've made sure I was just as protective as she was trying to be. All the pressure was put on her and she couldn't handle it being pregnant and all."

"Did she actually tell you? Like about the worrying of his birthday coming up?"

"No, but I could tell."

"No, you couldn't have known unless she told you. No one saw this coming, not even her. Whether she expected it or not, only the people involved with the kidnapping could know about the wedding being the place. Don't put all the blame on yourself, you WILL get him back and that kid will have the best damn birthday of all time."

"You think we'll get him by his birthday?"

"If not, sooner." She smiled.

I smiled back, "Thanks for the support."

"No problem."

Ang walked through the door and sat down in the closest chair. She was silent for a few minutes before finally speaking.

"You two don't have to go home." She said.

"What do you mean?" Riker asked.

"I mean that you two can stay and help us if you want. The more we have, the stronger we are. Plus, Derek already made Riker involved by destroying his car. Which by the way, once we get home I'll have Joanna replace it and get you a better model."

"That doesn't matter, as long as I get my Nephew back, I'm happy." Riker said.

"I'll take it." Bri said laughing, us joining her. "What brought this up anyway?"

Without saying anything, she held up the charm bracelet they had given her years ago. "Friends stick together, no matter the situation."

"That's what I've been trying to tell you." Me and Bri said at the same time.

"Well, I finally realize it so DON'T YELL AT ME!" I picked up one of the leftover cosmic brownies and handed it to her. "THANK YOU!" She said taking a bite.

"So what's the plan?" Riker asked.

"I'll explain it in the car."

"Wait, we're all going in one car?" Bri asked.

"Well how do you think Derek is going to take it when he sees two cars?" I said widening my eyes and giving her a look.

"Even I knew that." Riker said.

"Shut up."
