~chapter thirteen

Update!! update!!

Bahijas POV

Wafiya is coming over today because she was not able to come yesterday and my cousins too

"Hello wafi" I stated across the line

"Hello afra ina kwana(good morning)" she greeted

"I am good, how is work?" I asked

"Ba gajiya,I just want to tell you that I will be coming by 12 or 1 o'clock because I will be stopping at the shop" she explained

"Okay, but is everything okay in the shop?" I asked concerned

"Yes,just that my orders will be brought today, so I would like to sort them out " she said

"Ok toh No problem till you come" I said and we ended the call

"today will be hectic walahi and I don't even know what to cook for breakfast, I guess pancakes will do " I said to myself and I stood up from the bed and headed to the toilet,I took my bath , came out and applied cream, I then sprayed my body spray and my humra,I picked a multi coloured bubu made of material from the closet and draped it on

I trudged downstairs and went to the kitchen,on reaching the kitchen I picked my flour, from the store,I went to the fridge and picked three eggs and I opened the kitchen cupboard and picked the remaining ingredients I placed them on the kitchen counter I picked a bowl and mixed my batter,before you knew it I was done with the batter and the frying.
I also made apple syrup.I then cleared everything I used

I set everything on the dinning table and started eating,when I was done I cleared the cutlery,cup and plate that I used,I went to the parlour and switch on the television and started watching "made for each other"on star life not long then haidar came downstairs and headed to the dinning for breakfast,I stood up and left the parlour

My phone started ringing and I picked, it was rukky

"Hello rukky" I said with a smile

"Hello afra,good morning" she greeted politely

"Morning rukky how was your night?"

"It was fine Alhamdulila,walahi I will not be able to come"

"What happened kuma?"

"It is aunty falmata, dad sister that gave birth and daddy said I must go to Gombe" she explained sadly

"Allah sarki,Allah ya raya,just obey him and go you can come some other time" i assured

"Yana iya,we are leaving now sef"

"Ok toh I wish you a safe trip"

"Thanks bye" and with that I ended the call

It was 9am already and meeno and co will be here any moment

I switched on the television and started watching sunnah TV,malama juwairiya was presenting a wa'azi not long I stood up and went to the kitchen and cooked white rice and stew,when I was done I set everything on the dinning and  cleared  the kitchen. I was in the kitchen when haidar called out for me from the parlor

"Haidar am here" I answered

"Look who is here" he pointed at the door

"Meeno" I ran to the parlor ,where she is standing and gave her a born crushing hug. I hugged all of them

"Hafffa lomls" I asked happily

"Fine oo,we really missed you Walahi" They said in unison

"Same here I missed all of you very much walahi. Let us go upstairs" I helped them with some of their bags

"Which upstairs.?, I am really hungry walahi" meeno ranted, she has always been a foodie

"Your food is already upstairs in the parlour" I replied

"Oya let us go" she said dragging her trolley and we headed up

We went upstairs and ate the food, they kept on complimenting our mouthwatering dishes and I was happy, I love it when my cooking skills are being hyped. I took them to the guest room to freshen up while I went back to the kitchen to wash out the plates,cutleries and cups we used.

Wafi just arrived, as I could hear exchanging pleasantries with Haidar in the living room

"Wai wai who am I seeing here" he asked after opening the door for them

"It is your sister inlaw and daughter"
She replied after saying her salam and walking in, with Noorie in her hands

"Wayaga munyi manyan baki, Bismilla have a seat" he ushered them seats

"Afra!!Afra!!" He called out to my name

"Naam, i am coming" I said as I walked down the stairs

"Oyoyoyo wafi" I said as I ran to hug her

"Good afternoon wafi" I greeted, seating beside her

"Afternoon afra,how are you?" She asked

"I Am fine Alhamdulila,noorie come to me "I said as I pick noorie who is on wafi's leg

"Just pray she doesn't cry" wafi said

"Tana qiwa ko" I asked after carrying

"Yep,tanayi she doesn't know you well that's why, but she doesn't cry when mama picks her up ai" she said, she is always visting home, Wafi and mommy are the closest I will say

"Today u will go nd leave her here kuwa" I joked "Lemme go nd bring refreshments" i informed, then trudged to the kitchen with noorie who looked like she will start crying any moment,I brought out spirit from the fridge and I picked chinchin from the bucket which is in the store,I went back to the parlour and kept noorie then I went and pick the refreshment and took it upstairs to my room. I came downstairs and met haidar and wafiya talking so I interrupted

"Wafi let us go upstairs to my room" when went and she tucked Noorie to sleep and we started talking I told her everything that has been happening in the house,since the day I got married to haidar

"Innalilahi wa ina illah rajun,so this is how haidar is?" She asked shocked

"Walahi I was also shocked,he showed me love but it was never real" I said sadly

"He really bit my imagination,I have to talk to him" she said surprised

"No please don't talk to him,it will be like I am really interested in him, let's also give him time and see if he will change his ways" I suggested

"Since you say so but if he does anything to you again I will not think twice before taking action" she said strictly

"Ok,I agree. Them meeno are here, they arrived earlier on" I said changing the topic

"Where are they?" She asked

"They are sleeping,you know their flight was early in the morning" i explained

"Ok oo" We chatted for a bit and she left. I went to my room and I prayed asr then I decided to sleep do since I have nothin to do too
