Unfortunately, you failed that upcoming literature test. Even with the hours of relentless tutor and studying, you still managed to get the worst grade- only saved by Cementoss' sense of pity against students.
Fixing your hair in the reflection of Bakugo's mailbox, the corners of your mouth made a faint curve upwards. Your phone was constantly vibrating inside of your palm, dinging with every text he sent.
Messages like, "Where the hell are you?!" or "HEY!" spammed your long wall of notifications. Skating your phone into your back pocket and putting it on mute, you sighed and took a heavy gulp of saliva.
Taking one step forward against the cement pavement, which lined up and guided the way towards the house's front door, you held the straps of your heavy backpack close to your rapid-beating heart.
Surrounded by tall fences and trimmed hedges, you felt out of place in this domain of suburban wealth. Bakugo's house was three stories, with curving rooves and tinted windows decorated with exotic patterns.
It was the largest house in the neighborhood, with poking balconies finding themselves outside of every, master bedroom. The teal colored roof didn't match with the tinged-yellow bricks, but that was the least of your concern.
"Daaaamn!" you thought to yourself, laughing as you tried to gather back your calm composure. You never could've imagined that his family was filthy rich, seeing as Bakugo attended a regular middle school.
You rung the doorbell and put on your sweetest smile, one that you wore at event dinners or in front of faculty staff. Instantly kicking it open came his mother, who was an identical copy of Bakugo Katsuki.
"Oh, my gosh! Please come in, it's so nice to meet you!" she didn't need to open the door all the way, but she did, which probably allowed a bunch of flies or mosquitos to enter the giant house. "My name is Mitsuki."
She opened the door to a living room, where Bakugo was sitting with his legs and arms crossed. He was wearing a black skull shirt, watching television with a bag of potato chips planted right beside his thigh.
Bakugo was sitting right next to his dad, a brunette man that didn't look anything like the other two. He had the kindest smile you had ever seen, and slowly waved towards your direction as a polite greeting.
"And that's Katsuki, which I'm sure you already know. My husband, Masaru, is over there." Bakugo's mother was extremely kind, keeping up a respectful attitude that Bakugo didn't inherit.
"Katsuki! Quit eatin' chips and get some real food!" but your thoughts immediately changed when she began to yell, flailing her hands as if she was smacking him from afar. "Your girlfriend is here, so shape up, mister!"
"She's not my damn girlfriend!" he argued back, the gesture only making you want to hide away. He crumpled the chip bag's opening, before hesitantly standing up and shoving it back into a kitchen cabinet.
"I'm so sorry! How about Katsuki and you head over onto his room? It's on the third floor, straight down the hall and to the left." Mitsuki instantly turned towards you, shutting the door behind and inviting you in.
"Uhh- okay." you giggled quietly, sliding your bag down to your elbows and holding it with both hands. You began to make your way towards the stairwell, blocking out the yelling noise to the best of your ability.
"..By the way, you have a really nice house, miss!" you tried to turn around and compliment the family, but Bakugo and his mother were already yelling and spitting in each other's faces. His father, on the other hand-
His eyes were focused on you, a gentle smile that didn't seem to fade. He brought his hands up to his mouth, and yelled out, "Thank you! I'll let her know once she's done." and he said it like it was common.
Keeping your hand on the glossy rails, your legs began to tire out from all the steps. However, you made it to the third floor in time, and instantly found the room that Mitsuki was referring to. It had a special quirk, afterall.
A nametag with the words, "KING EXPLOSION MURDER!" carved into its wood. You chuckled to yourself, even though it was awkward and fake. Twisting the knob and entering the room, you then began to wait.
Bakugo's room was dressed in black and orange, with several posters of All Might and metal bands plastered against every wall. The main centerpiece was a set of drums, taking up most of the space.
His shelves were filled with All Might merchandise, and the sheets on his bed messed and wrinkly. Bakugo had piles of magazines and romance novels thrown underneath his mattress, along with empty water bottles.
It radiated the scents of sweat and air freshener, an odor that didn't mix pleasantly. You pushed aside all of the golden medals on his bed, that he was probably admiring, and made a spot for yourself to sit on.
Fumbling your thumbs together and picking at your nails, you bit down on your lower lip and tensed your shoulders. A part of you didn't want to touch anything, more or less even be here. It was uncomfortable.
The different environment was suffocating, not to mention it was the first time that you had ever visited Bakugo's house. It was odd for you to be surrounded by someone else's family, since you were only used to yours.
A banging at the door tore your floating thoughts, making you twist your neck immediately in that direction. It was an agitated Bakugo, rushing through and instantly locking the metal knob. "Dammit!"
Your legs were covered in his blankets, and your arms were wrapped around his smashed pillows. "Huh?" you asked, tilting your head to the side and clinging onto the stained, white casings.
"Nevermind. You ready, or what?" he hid his face from you, poorly attempting to hide the grinning corners of his mouth with his forearm. "You failed the first time, so don't disappoint me now, (Y/N)."
Chuckling to yourself and unconsciously smiling, you twirled a few strands of your hair around the delicate tip of your finger. "Heh." you looked away, eying the crooked placement of a poster. "Sorry about that."
"I'm ready, now."
