You heaved your heavy bag over the support of the seat, groaning to yourself and getting ready to sleep throughout the entire detention hour. The desks were in doubles, and the classroom cold and lonely.

The chalkboard looked like it had never been used before, only the blatant word "Detention." drawn across its canvas. Students from upper grades gathered towards the back of the cramped classroom.

There wasn't a single person from your homeroom- except Bakugo. Actually, you had no idea where he was. Maybe he was just hiding in a corner somewhere, though you didn't bother to check or peek.

You glided your freezing arms through the warm sleeves of your uniform jacket, before frowning and leaning forward against the edge of this foreign, wooden desk. Hugging your head with your arms, you then shut your eyes.

Hoping that the hands of the clock would move faster, and that the rapid ticking of time would reach its last, you burrowed your face into the comfortable, wooly fabric. Thankfully, there were no assignments in detention.

You had set your phone on silent, so if Mina was texting you, there was no way that you could read it anymore. Your heart was chained in regret, regret from dragging Bakugo into your situation of failing grades.

A loud clashing of bags and heavy, water pails stung your ears and made you jump up. Your eyes were instantly peeled open, but then began to sting from the minty cologne. Bakugo sighed and sat right next to you.

With your arms still folded into their opposites, your eyebrows curved in surprise. Facing him with a side eye, you wondered if he even realized that he had gotten seated beside you. Bakugo wasn't acknowledging your presence.

"What?" he asked in a whisper, unzipping his bag and pulling out an award winning novel. You faced away and relaxed again, covering your nose so that it would be free from the stinging attack of fresh mint.

"Nothing.." you murmured, skating your foot across the floor. The side of your right sneaker bumped against the side of his left, making you instantly pull away. His knee repeatedly tapped against yours.

Not only were you hiding your breathing nostrils, you were also hiding your blush. There wasn't a visible flush of red on your cheeks, but instead the bitter taste of sour lemons. You closed your eyes and tried not to squeak.

All you could hear was silence, and the faint blowing of the blasting air conditioning. It was so quiet, that your knees trembled in the uncertain, artificial breezes. You could even hear your thumping heart.

Flipping your head over and staring right at Bakugo's pretty sideview, your eyesight didn't allow you to sneakily catch peeks at his book. With a metallic, golden circle planted on the cover, it had surely won awards.

"What are you reading?" you asked, an unconscious smile spread across your apple cheeks. Bakugo flashed you a slide glare, before rolling his eyes and relaxing back against the head of his plastic chair.

"Don't bother, you wouldn't like it." he scoffed, before bringing the tinged yellow pages right up to his crimson eyes. Straining his retinas until his vision doubled, he dived into the book as if it were the salty sea.

"Try me!" you giggled quietly, scooting your chair over and hoping he wouldn't push you away. And to your surprise, he didn't. For some reason, he allowed you into his small, personal bubble of needed space.

Keeping your head down until you could feel the reminiscence of his every breath, you grinned as Bakugo faced the open pages towards you. His arm stretched behind your back, and slouched over the support of your seat.

The two of you seemed to read at the same pace, till every flip of a page was coordinated and comfortable. You loved getting lost within the fancy text, all of the imagery and literature devices sending you to a fantasyland.

You imagined being the princess in this specific fairytale, the princess who got saved by the dragon king. The dragon king had pale blonde hair, and crimson eyes just like the boy you were with at the current instant.

Maybe you saw a bit of Bakugo in this fictional character, and a bit of the princess in yourself. However, it was nothing more than an alternative reality. A universe that will always cease to exist in your world.

"Be thankful that you got to read this far." Bakugo said, but his words were nothing more than a whisper to you. Your head was doing summersaults, attending concerts and famous circuses in its imaginary dimension.

"Oi, are you deaf or somethin?!" he shut the book closed right in front of your face, snapping you back to the harsh reality. "Answer when I'm talkin to you!" it was a startle that you weren't exactly ready for.

"Awhhh, why did you have to go n' end it so early?" you whined, giggling without giving him a second glance back. Bakugo was instantly silenced by your voice, and opened up the magical pages once more.

"Tch.. If you like it so much, then go buy it for yourself." he said, but Bakugo's words didn't match his actions. Instead of pushing you away or rejecting you harshly, he allowed you to surpass any old boundary.

Your shoes had been stepped onto his this entire time, but he wasn't complaining. You had invaded his personal space, but he didn't cry or throw a tantrum about it. Yet you had been arguing just minutes prior.

"I think I will!" you chuckled, making him fidget for just a moment. "That way, I won't have to bother you about wanting to read it." you wanted to stay like this forever, and maybe detention wasn't so bad.

"Quit putting words in my mouth! Who said you were bothering me?" Bakugo nervously chuckled, before yanking the novel from your hands and stealing it away. Shoving it into his backpack, he raised his voice.

"Don't go wasting your money.."
