"Ouch! What the heck?" you whined, dropping your mechanical pencil and breaking a line of lead. Bakugo repeatedly hit the top of your head with a folded newspaper, you didn't even know where he got it from.
"Allusion, (Y/N)! Don't tell me you've never watched any movie from that franchise!" he yelled, showing no sign of stopping his rain of gentle hits anytime soon. You covered your face and buried it into a page.
The rolls on your stomach multiplied as you squeezed your skin, trying to block out the increasing number of hunger growls. "You're wasting my lunch break, we can study on the weekend!" you complained.
".. Wait here." he mumbled, before getting out of his seat and leaving you alone on the wooden bench. You stopped scribbling inside of your notebook, and erased the random circles. "And don't move!"
You groaned and tried to shield your face from the sun, despite the tinted windows of the hallway. Everyone had crowded inside the cafeteria or in the fields, so it became rare to spot other people in the corridors.
Mina had to stay after class, since her grades weren't too sharp either. However, it worked out perfectly for your schedule with Bakugo. Tutoring was tiring, but you noticed the payoff in your steadily increasing scores.
You swayed your feet and curled your toes, twirling the mechanical pencil around the bump on your index finger. All you could think about was your hunger, and no disgusting nor horrifying thought would take it away.
Snapping another cast of lead, then a second one after that. You jittered the clicking eraser of the pencil, hoping more would come, but you had ran out. Your cries mixed with the rumbling of your stomach.
The text began to fade, and your vision began to double. Words of poetry shaped into broken English, and all of a sudden Shakespeare's name turned into, "Speareshake" or something of those lines.
And after a few minutes, he was back. The bottom of the tray that Bakugo had been holding slammed against his lap, rocking the spicy sauce of his chicken curry. The impact had removed all of the air bubbles.
"You can't study on an empty stomach, so here." he scooted the bowl aside, and you could feel the warmth of the piping food burning the tops of your thighs. "Are you grateful, or what?!" he already yelled.
Before you could refuse the offer, Bakugo said, "Don't feel obligated to pay me back! I have a lot more money, so I couldn't care less about your dirty bills." it made you laugh. "What's so funny? Huh?!" the boy continued.
"Thank you." you smiled down at the food, tearing open the plastic seal of utensil packaging. "I bet it'll be absolutely delicious!" Bakugo covered his grinning face with the loose collar of his unbuttoned, uniform shirt.
As you brought the cheap spoon closer to your mouth, your nostrils could pick up the whiffs of overwhelming spice. Hot chilis and exotic herbs, it was making your eyes water by just looking down at the bowl.
But when you took that first bite, it was like all of your major problems had been solved. "Aah! It's so good." you closed your eyes and beamed with joy, until the sunrays reflected off your imperfect teeth.
Yet here came the spice, turning your cheeks crimson with something other than blush. It was more than any level you could handle. The surface of your tongue was like a warzone, popping fire cracks just like an explosion.
"C'mon! You can't even handle a little bit of spice?" Bakugo swiftly wrapped his muscular arm around your hunched back, heavily patting your shoulder and only making your cough increasingly worse.
You wheezed and covered your spitting mouth, the uncontrollable series of hacks making your face flush up red. Out of instinct you clung onto him, until the bulb of your nose touched his cold, bare skin.
Holding him with a loose grip, you quickly burrowed your face into his slender chest. The minty cologne he was wearing only increased the severity, until you had to dig your chewed nails into his messy shirt.
"Bakugo!-"
"What the hell?! Get off!-"
"Eeeyy, Bakugo! What's up, man?" the two of you heard a smug voice, while your hands focused on different things. Bakugo was trying to save his delicious lunch, and you were trying to save your dignity.
Two boys, Kirishima and Denki, found themselves wandering throughout the endless halls. They were the closest to Bakugo from what you could tell. The only ones that could get near him, except for you.
"Oh, was this a bad time?" Denki laughed, crossing his arms and keeping his chin confidently pointed upwards. Kirishima nudged his elbow, banging his spikey, red hair against the opposite, bright yellow.
"Get the hell out of here, you damn weirdos!" Bakugo yelled, his voice ringing your ears and making you quietly grunt. The two of his bubbly friends laughed and heartfeltly teased, not trying to be mean.
"We'll just talk about it on the weekend, yeah?" and with his arms crossed behind his head, Denki and Kirishima began to walk away. They tugged on their heavy backpack strings, cracking light jokes.
"Talk about what?" you looked up at Bakugo, admiring his clear skin and long eyelashes. Pulling away from his grey uniform, your burning tongue was finally beginning to calm down and get used to the spice.
"Just some stupid band thing." Bakugo scoffed, closing the heavy book beside him, and trying not to look you in the eye. He hesitantly let go of you, his fingers accidentally gliding down the sides of your ribs.
"You play in a band?!" you giggled, invisibly sucking on your tongue to ease the pain. Bakugo was twitching, jittering his knee and tapping the creased head of his sneakers against the symmetrical, tiled floor.
"Maybe you can play for me one day." hitting him with a smile, Bakugo chewed on the insides of his sour cheeks. He finally snuck a glance down at you, peeking into your eyes. With a smirk on his face, he said-
"Yeah, maybe.."
