YVE

Ok. I talked to mom and dad about the twins and they were more than willing to take them home with them. I packed my things and headed out the door to pick Leah up. Lean was going home with his nanny, he's tired and sleepy already.

As soon as she sat down she turned to me and asked, "What's up?"

"I have no idea. All I know is that JC had lunch with dad." I told her. We both were wondering what's up since dad doesn't call mid-week to ask either of his children to lunch or coffee. He schedules them during the weekend so there are no surprises during the week.

When he called JC and JM, Leah and I knew something's up. I guess we're going to find out what it is in a few minutes.

"JM had coffee with them, he left around 2. It's only a quarter past 5. What do you think happened?"

"I really don't have a clue. JC has lunch with dad every so often, I really didn't think it was anything." I said. "Only when he called for dinner," we usually kept to our own schedules during the week and we're together on weekends.

"Well, we'll find out soon enough." Leah said. They usually did have their own time, having dinner like this is different, especially since our husbands didn't pick us up.

As soon as the driver stopped to drop us off and we saw Ryan and Raven getting off their car, we looked at each other, if they're here, this is more than just a family dinner, the kids aren't here.

"I hope it's nothing serious." She said.

"Let's go find out." I said.

We got off the car and headed inside the restaurant, we must be discussing something important if we need a private room, so much for wishing it's nothing serious.

We greeted everyone and JC kissed me before we sat down. He held my hand and squeezed it before he whispered, "I missed you."

"I missed you too." I whispered back.

"We took the liberty to order for all of us." Dad said. We have no problem with that, his taste for food is great.

"So dad, what's with dinner?" Raven asked, getting straight to the point.

I saw dad glance at JM and JC. Why would dad need their help is anyone's guess.

"You see Raven, we need to talk about something important." JM said.

"What?" She asked.

"Before you react, please let us finish the entire story first, ok?" JC said. This must be serious, I'm not used to JM and JC trying to reason with Raven without saying what it is first.

She looked from her dad to JM then to JC and took a deep breath before she said, "Ok. I'm all ears."

Dad told us about Rachel, what happened to her and what led to her current predicament. I can feel JC's eyes on me and Raven, just as I can see JM watching Leah and Raven.

"So, does that mean she's coming here?" Raven asked dad.

"Yes." Dad said.

"Well, I like that you didn't give her money, she needs to earn her own keep." She said.

She took a deep breath before continuing, "With that said, she should buy her own house and learn to live on her own, without anyone else's help. And she should learn to take care of her own daughter. If she wants a sports car, she should be able to afford to buy one and maintain one." These Yu siblings are so alike in their love for fast, low, expensive cars.

I can feel her anger radiating from her. She turned to me and said, "I'm not asking you Yve, I'm telling you, let JC buy you a sports car, and every other expensive thing he wants to give you." I was taken aback, so was JC. What did I do?
