Chapter 28- True

Stella's pov

Its starting. Their moving. And moving fast. 

Mabilis naming naidala si Julia sa hospital. Mabilis ang aming paghinga na para bang mawawalan na kami ng hininga. 

This is the second time and we haven't had any updates on the first one! Muntik nang mamatay sina Kath at Cess nung gabing yun! And now Julia? Kung sino man ang nasa likod nito, I'll make sure to make them pay. And the price isn't cheap.

Wala pang isang oras ng makaalis kami sa restaurant pero ang balita tungkol kay Julia ay kumakalat na. Articles are everywhere. 

Bwisit! Mas lalo kaming naeexpose nito! 

"Kath." 

Binasag ko ang katahimikan na kanina pa bumabalot sa amin. Agad naman silang napatingin sa akin pero di nagsalita. 

"That night, in Zion's resort. When you and Cess tracked down the royalties..." I paused. Seryoso akong tumingin sa kanilang dalawa.

"Bakit wala pa tayong ideya kung sino ang bumaril kay Cess?" 

Silence. 

Ilang linggo na ang lumipas pero ni lead wala pa kaming natatanggap. This is a first time. We would always find some sort of lead as soon as the chaos has subsided. Kahit gaano pa sila kalakas o kagaling magtago, mahahanap at mahahanap namin sila.

So why now? 

After years and years of being an agent, why now? I can't help the uneasiness enveloping me. Something doesn't add up.

Bumuntog hininga si Kath.

"I don't know." She claimed. She sounds so defeated. 

"How? How come you don't know anything? Pati si Daniel and Denver. Lucas at Xavier. Why aren't we working as a team? Ilang linggo na ang nakalipas pero wala pa rin tayong balita tungkol sa kanila . What is happening?"

"Look Stella. The twins has a mission that has nothing to do with us. Lucas and Xavier are trying to find out why the stocks are going down in California. They have a battle to fight on their own, and so do we. We can't keep on relying on them." I can't help but smile a little after hearing what Kath said. Siya ba talaga ang bunso sa aming apat?

"Let's just hope Julia recovers quickly." Napabaling ang atensyon ko kay Cess na mukhang balisa. Nakaupo lang siya pero mukhang problemado na problemado. 

"Ano ka ba Cess, syempre mabilis na gagaling yang baboy na yan. Ilang bala na ang pumasok sa katawan niyan pero tingnan mo, baboy parin." I stated trying to lighten up the mood. 

"Don't you see? Something's not right." Ani pa nito. Walang makikitang ibang emosyon sa kanyang mukha kundi takot.

"What do you mean?" Kath asked. 

"First the royalties. We were assigned to protect them. Which doesn't seem like a challenge since we've faced hundreds of mission that had costed our lives. But then it was abolished."

Ang unang pumasok sa utak ko ng tinaggal kami sa misyon ay baka may mas mahirap or  importante na misyon na ibibigay sa amin. We were named as the best agents in our world. It just makes sense to put us in a life threatening mission than just letting us sit and wait for what ever danger might come. 

"Then we were assigned to investigate RedFire and Dark organization out of the blue. Not only that, we were asked to stay away from the royalties. We weren't even given any reason why?"
