"And here comes the main actor!" exclaimed Luca as he walked over to Norton.

"Freddy !"
blurted Gertrude.

"You know him ?"
asked Eli.

Gertrude froze as she realized the mistake she just made. She could have easily pretended that she didn't know him, but she just sold herself by saying his name.

"N-no..."
she replied, trying to catch herself but it was already too late.

"Ugh ! Let me go I'm innocent ! I'm going to sue you for assault !"
shouted the man named Freddy.

Norton finally released him, beginning to find him a bit annoying struggling like a madman. He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. Released from Norton's grip, Freddy fell to the ground miserably before getting up and removing the dust from his clothes.

"Tch ! This is why I hate kids from public schools !"
said Freddy.

"Can someone explain to me what's going on here...?" asked Eli again, he was already confused and it was slowly starting to push him over the edge.

"Ha ! I'll take the honor !" said Luca with a mischievous smile.

He then took his phone out of his pocket, he tapped on it for a moment before showing a picture he had taken to Eli. Aesop who was right behind him could also see, it was a picture showing Gertrude in Freddy's arms kissing him.

"Norton, Aesop and I have been following your 'girlfriend' for the past few days because we found out what she was up to, we just needed proof ~"

Eli looked at the picture a little longer before looking up at Gertrude, a pained expression on his face.

"So that's how it is...?"

"Eli ! I can explain everything !"
the girl proclaimed.

"No... No need."

Eli turned around to find himself face to face with Aesop who was speechless.

"You knew...?"

"E-Eli... I-I..."

But before Aesop could answer him, Eli was already ahead of him and heading for the exit of the park. Aesop only had enough time to catch a glimpse of a tear running down his friend's cheek.
Gertrude went after him just after, while Freddy went back the way he came, grunting.
Aesop looked down. He had surely broken his friendship with Eli. He should have told him everything as soon as he began to have doubts about Gertrude's sincerity, but would he believe him? Norton then placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"It was the right thing to do Aesop."

"Norton is right. Give them some time and I'm sure everything will work out between you and Eli !" continued Luca with an encouraging tone.

"I-If you say so..."

After all the commotion, Luca returned to Norton's house and Aesop went home as well. That night, on the other side of the wall from his room was Eli's who lived next door. It sounded like light crying, and Aesop tried to ignore it by covering his ears with his pillow.

The next day there was no class as it was Saturday. Aesop decided to check on Eli, even though it might have been a little hasty after the events of the previous day. But Eli meant a lot to him so he wanted to be sure that everything was okay.

So he rang the doorbell of his best friend's house, or at least if they were still friends. A minute passed and the door opened. Eli appeared in Aesop's field of vision, his clothes a bit disheveled as if he just got up, but what was most noticeable was his blank stare and his blue eyes that were slightly red and puffy.
