Aesop was taken aback for a moment by Eli's question, he had almost forgotten that he had declared his feelings. His face had turned red and not from the fever then he looked him straight in the eye.

"Yes."

This time it was Eli who was surprised by Aesop's direct answer but he just nodded with a smile.

"I see."

"Y-you must be disgusted...?"

"Hm ? Why should I be ? I think I should be more flattered to attract both genders !"

That was just the kind of answer Eli would give Aesop thought. Wasn't that why he had fallen for him, after all ? In the end, he was worrying too much for nothing. He knew Eli wasn't the kind of person to hate someone so easily unless he had a legitimate reason.

"To tell you the truth... I think I might be feeling the same way..."

"W-what?"

Aesop couldn't believe it. He wasn't sure he heard correctly. Did Eli really said that there was a chance that he might have the same feelings ?

The next instant, Eli had leaned over Aesop and stolen a chaste kiss. Aesop widened his eyes, not immediately realizing what had just happened.

Without saying anything, a tear rolled down Aesop's cheek. After waiting so long, he never thought his feelings would ever be reciprocated. Eli wiped the tear away before gently caressing his cheek with his slender fingers. 

"Sorry to have made you wait..."

They then exchanged a tender kiss again to confirm their love...

The next day, both arrived at school holding hands. Eli walked Aesop to his classroom before giving him a peck on the cheek.

"I see everything is going well," Norton said.

"Y-yes..." replied Aesop.

"I'm happy for you two."

"Aesop is mine, Campbell."

Eli then put his arms around Aesop's shoulders to his surprise. Despite his mask, it was clear that his face was scarlet red.

"E-Eli !"

"Well, it looks like he's already playing the jealous boyfriend role to perfection..."

"I'm just taking precautions in case there's a mole."

Aesop didn't know where to stand between Eli and Norton anymore. He would almost regret confessing his love. Well, that would be a lie because nothing could make him happier than he was now... He was finally at the side of the one he desired and nothing could separate them from now on.

Later, on the roof, Aesop was sitting in Eli's arms, resting his head on his chest.

"Eli?"

"Yes?"

"I love you..."

"I love you too Aesop."

And so they exchanged a kiss again to affirm that their feelings were real...
