chapter 3 : sleep

"So hange, how have your experiments been going?" Erwin asked before he took a sip of his drink. Erwin, Levi and I were at a local restaurant where we usually went for outings like this. We just wanted to chat since Erwin was always so busy but looks like we finally got the chance now.

"It's going fine.. I haven't been able to do any for the time being ever since what happened to Moblit", I sighed, remembering the accident that caused me to be forbidden from going to the lab. Poor guy just wanted to protect me from a 'little' explosion and ended up taking a leave... He's a nice guy though.

The three of us just talked and talked till it was getting dark. Catching up on what Erwin has been up to lately. Erwin payed for our food and we went outside. Sooner or later we arrived at our respective dorms.

I flopped onto my bed as soon as I got inside my single dorm. Yeah I didn't have a roommate but I was fine with it. Honestly, I'd like one but the thing is, I'd want only one person as my roommate.

Speaking of that person, I didn't see her at all today... Is she doing alright? Has she ate dinner? I looked at the clock and it was 9pm. It's still early.. Should I ask her if she wants to get a drink or something? Maybe I should.
I checked my phone and decided to text her.

[ (Y/N)'S POV ]

"Rico, it's fine.. I'll be fine alone! You just have fun, alright?" I reassured the girl on the phone. She was on her way to this party that Petra invited her to. She wanted me to come along but I didn't really want to be third wheeler among those two. We hung up after Rico told me to stay safe. Not long after that, I got a text message from an anonymous number.

"Heyyy (Y/N)! Are you free at the moment? 😎😎"

It still hasn't rung a bell on who this number belonged to until I got another text.

"It's me, Hange btw! It's fine if you don't want to :)"

A smile creeped up on my face as I soon as I saw the name. It should be fine if I hang out with them for a while. I replied back saying

"Hello Hange !! I'd love to! I'll meet you downstairs"

"YAYYYYYYYYYYY 😎😎😎‼️"

I quickly picked an outfit that wasn't too formal or laidback, something casual, at least it was what I thought. I wonder why'd they wanted to meet all of a sudden. I arrived downstairs when I saw the brunette waving at me.

"(Y/N)!!!!", They yelled excitedly, slightly running towards me. "Hange, not too loud!" I teased, putting a finger on my lips. They laughed in response. I smiled until I felt an arm around my shoulder, causing me to turn a bit red. I didn't mind it seeing how they looked really happy.

"Sooo, did you miss me or something?" I asked, before placing my order to the waiter. I said a quick thank you before the waiter left our table. "Well, you're not entirely wrong. I just felt like going out again and you were the first person that came to mind",

I chuckled lightly before responding "How cute, we should hang out more like this, don't you think, Hange?" I took a sip of my shot, not realising how red the brunette looked in front of me. They looked cute even. I felt like seeing more of this sight for some reason.

"A-ah Yeah! Of course! we can hang out any time you want hahah", they laughed nervously, also taking a sip of their drink. Our food later arrived and we just talked about how we could start with the project. If I were to be honest, I liked seeing how excited Hange looked talking about the project. It was as if they had everything planned out.

[ HANGE'S POV ]

When I thought of bringing (Y/N) out for a drink, I didn't expect me to be helping her puke in the toilet. I didn't mind as well but rather I felt bad that she was in this state. I also didn't know how low her alcohol tolerance was.

After we got out of the place, I put my hand around her waist for support as she leaned onto me. She then put her arm her my shoulder, pulling herself closer to me. I could feel her hot breath on my neck which made me feel a bit dizzy.

"Hangee~~ You smell nice~ Is it alright if I borrow one of your clothes heheh" the poor girl started giggling to herself. It was cute seeing her like this. When we arrived at her dorm after she told me, I felt her putting her hands around my neck. I gulped, not knowing how to act.

"Hange~ Can I stay with you tonight? Rico won't be home" she cooed in my ear. I thought hard. Should I bring her to my dorm or should I just ignore her and leave her here?

In the end, I brought her to my dorm. Even if she asked me why she was doing here, i'll just say that she was the one who wanted to stay here so it's all good! I carefully leaded her to my bed, making sure she was comfortable. I went to grab a glass of water just in case she needed it.

When I came back, I felt like I was gonna melt. Literally melt into a pool. I saw (Y/N) sleeping soundly, hugging a shirt I wore earlier today. I left it here since I couldn't choose if I should've changed or not during our meet. It was weird but I wasn't one to complain, the girl looked adorable. Almost too pretty when sleeping.

I sat down carefully beside her, slowly pulling my blanket onto her sleeping figure. Once again, i'm aware we're just friends but I couldn't help but want to kiss her goodnight. As I got up, I felt a tug on my shirt.

"Ah (Y/N)... did i wake you up?" She shook her head slowly and I felt her hugging my arm instead. I couldn't help but blush.

"Can you sleep with me for tonight, Hange?"
