chapter 9 : stupid

Everyone was shocked with what they just witnessed. Some even accidentally dropping their glass after seeing Levi Ackerman getting kissed on the cheek. Rico immediately pulled her drunk friend away before whispering angrily "Stupid! Wrong person to kiss, moron"

Rico and the girl immediately left the bar as Rico kept yelling out the words "Sorry!" and "Bye!". Petra just laughed seeing Levi while the others averted their attention to Hange. The brunette who looked pretty annoyed.

Hange quickly say their goodbye before leaving the place as well. The others also left after that. Hange stormed out of the bar trying to look for a specific someone but they were nowhere to be found. They were annoyed with the fact that they didn't get the chance to say goodbye and surprisingly they felt angry seeing the girl kiss Levi right in front of them. They didn't want to admit of course since they didn't seem to realise that, that was the real reason why they were mad in the first place.

"Oi Hange. Where are you off to so quickly?", asked their short friend who tagged along behind them. Hange tried to calm down since they were mad at Levi as well. "Just wanted to get some fresh air", they smiled trying to act natural.

"Air, my foot. If you're gonna lie, could you find a better excuse to storm out after seeing me get kissed"

That statement just made Hange even more mad but they tried to not let it get to them. It was childish to get angry over seeing their friend get kissed by a girl they were close with when they didn't really have any feelings for the girl. Or did they?

"Whatever you say! I'm going to go get a drink before I go back. Bye shorty!" they said cheerfully to their friend before leaving.

Levi on the other hand just sighed. He felt like he knew the reason why Hange was acting that way but he just needed for evidence so that he could have a good answer.

"(Y/N), you wait here, okay? I'll go get you some water then we can sleep", Rico said before leaving her friend at a bench. Apparently, (Y/N) always needed to drink some water after getting drunk since it helped her to not puke. The girl just sat there, still feeling dizzy after the previous events.

"(Y/N)... is that you?" the girl tried to look for the voice as it sounded familiar. She smiled after fully recognising it. "Hange~~", she said before giving Hange a hug.

Coincidentally, Hange ran into (Y/N) as they were also gonna get a drink but ended up forgetting to do so as soon as they met with the girl. Hange wrapped their arm around her waist, pulling her closer. Hange was happy to see her but they were still a bit mad.

"Heheh~ why are you pouting?" Hange looked down as they felt the girl beside them poking their cheek. Hange grabbed (Y/N)'s hand, removing it from their cheek before saying "I'm mad you didn't kiss me!"

Hange widened their eyes, only realising now about what they just said. They let go of the girl's hand and started reassuring that she heard wrong. They felt like it was better if they just left but Rico was nowhere to be seen.

"W-whatever you just heard.. I only meant it as friends, okay?! I'm sure you kiss Rico's cheek as well!", they stammered, feeling embarrassed with that they just said. The girl beside them just laughed before leaning in to give Hange a kiss on the cheek. Hange could feel her soft lips on their cheek.

"I hope that makes you happy~"

"WHAT?! Eh?! Wait, did you- did I really just- gimme a second-" The brunette's face started turning bright red as they tried to process everything that just happened. "Does she have any idea what kind of effect she has on me?!", thought Hange.

They immediately stood up, trying to distant themselves from the girl. Walking back and forth to calm themselves down. Taking a couple of deep breaths, Hange looked behind only to see the girl fast asleep again.

"What am I gonna do with you.. I cant even stay mad for long but you're forgiven since you gave me a kiss heheh", they chuckled, patting (Y/N) on the head.

"(Y/NNNNN)!!!! PLEASE DONT BARF IM RIGHT HERE!", yelled a worried Rico from afar. Hearing the girl yell startled Hange and therefore they decided to take this chance to run away before Rico sees them.

Hange smiled for last time before making a run for it.

"(Y/NNN)... Are you okay? The machine wasn't working so I had to find another one", said Rico, handing her the mineral bottle. (Y/N) slowly stood before taking a sip of the water. She felt much better and her head didn't hurt that much after. The two later decided to go back to their dorms to end the night.

Hange, on the other hand, was the happiest person on Earth. Jumping up and down as they arrived at their dorm. Shaking their legs happily like a toddler who got ice cream after school. Hange wanted to boast about it to Levi but then he'd just ignore them or even worse, realise that they felt some type of way around (Y/N) but they couldn't exactly understand how.
