Oh God

"You promised you'd sit still and seriously listen to my complaints, but you run off just as the time we agreed on comes!"

"Hey, I didn't run off, I can't control when I get a job! Besides, I'm not doing anything wrong!!"

Oh God

"Not do-???? You call trying to target my male classmates not doing anything wrong?! This is exactly why we seriously need to talk about this!!"

"They're all trash anyway, I'm just cleaning it up for your sake!!"

"You think you have a leg to stand on regarding 'trash'?????????"

Oh God

"Can both of you calm down! We're in front of a customer!"

Oh...oh...he's pointing at me. The youngest of the three, a blond boy, is pointing at me, which directed the couple's attention from their bickering and over to me. I flinched and my eyes swam from the sudden attention. A tattoo on his chest. A tail peeking out behind the girl. Blue eyes.

Blue...eyes…

All of a sudden, an overwhelming dizziness overcame me and my knees gave out from under me. Before I could fall to the ground, all three rushed to grab me, though it was the blue eyed man that reached me first.

"Are you okay?"

"Ah. This person…" I slowly looked up and got a good look at the source of the familiar voice. A handsome face devoid of blemishes and scars, but even more that, blue eyes so striking they bordered on otherworldly. A fitting face of someone who somehow managed to move my heart just from a phone call, I think.

"I-I am…" I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding as my response clumsily left my lips, but as I inhaled again to get the breath I needed to finish my sentence…

Ah. Gueh. This was…

"You stink."

He looked like I just about stabbed him and I instantly regretted my words. Of all the thoughts that could have escaped me, of course my mouth had settled on the worst possible one. But I couldn't help it, this overwhelming musk of sweat that clung to the jersey he wore was a bit too much when my face was practically in his chest. That too, was almost otherworldly. Even so, I opened my mouth to apologize...but he was unceremoniously thrown away from me before I could get a sound out.

"Don't keep clinging to people after hearing that you hopeless sweat god!" The blond boy snapped in a tone so full of derision I couldn't help but blink. The girl who had been arguing with him went over, seemingly to comfort him.

These three that dropped in seem rather dysfunctional huh. Well...glass houses I guess, but still, this is a lot…

"Are you okay?"

I snapped back into reality with a clumsy "huh?" and stared blankly into his eyes. They weren't mesmerizing and otherworldly like Yato's had been, these are very human eyes. But the bright reddish-orange colour...it was definitely pretty. He had a young face, surely he's roughly my age, but if he's here and asking over my well-being he also must have come to help me. Help me? Help me with wha-

And then it hit me again, the five minutes before all these fantastical happenings resurfaced- Toma's rejection of me, the car driving up, my own despair- and just like that I could feel the panic rising in the back of my throat. Right there's danger. Toma's in danger. Toma is the danger!! I abruptly grabbed the boy by the shoulders, which flustered him
