"Hey, Jungkook, I was thinking whether you'd like to come to the supermarket with me?", Namjoon asks as soon as he enters his apartment. Jungkook looks up from where he was munching on a packet of chips, sprawled out on the couch as a random movie plays in the background.

It all looks so normal that Namjoon almost forgets that Jungkook is just a guest. He looks like he belongs here, wearing his hoodie, munching on his wafers. He shakes himself out of his fantasy.

It's been a week since he first took Jungkook in and it's been hell and heaven alike. Heaven because Jungkook is a sweetheart and hell because Jungkook is a sweetheart.

Namjoon can't help not crushing on him. The man is soft spoken, sweet, beautiful, has an amazing voice (Namjoon heard him sing in the bathroom). Moreover, he's the kindest person Namjoon has ever had the pleasure of knowing. He's positive Jungkook can't even hurt a fly.

On the other hand, Jungkook can't help but worry. He can see Namjoon falling for him. It's quite obvious from the way his eyes linger on him just a little longer than they did before, the way his dimples deepen a little more, looking a little more fond now when he smiles at him.

It's all going according to plan. Exactly like he had hoped. Then where's the issue?

Well, you see, Jackson didn't lie when he said Jungkook had a bad habit of not keeping his dick in his pants. This habit of his is proving to be a problem because he doesn't think he will survive one more day if Namjoon walks around the apartment in nothing but a towel. Post-shower.

God knows how he controls himself when he sees little water droplets drip from Namjoon's hair, down to his throat and then his chest. The way they sparkle on the crevices of his pecs— Jungkook stops himself before he gets hard.

"What were you saying, hyung?", he asks. Namjoon gets a little startled before replying. "I was asking whether you'd like to come with me to get the groceries?", he asks, shedding his coat and hanging it on the rack. He was still on an extended break but there was an emergency in the hospital and he just had to be there.

"Oh, sure, why? Is there a special reason?", Jungkook asks, wiggling his eyebrows. Namjoon laughs. "Nothing special, Kook. Just thought you might be getting bored sitting at home all day. Your leg is also healing pretty nicely so I think a walk would be nice", he says.

Jungkook's mouth forms a little 'o'. There's a weird sensation in his chest that feels a lot like guilt. He honestly doesn't understand the reason behind it. Yeah, he was using Namjoon for his own gain, fooling him into loving him.

But that's not something he hasn't ever done before, right? Why does it feel so different this time? Is it because it's Namjoon? Is it because he knows the man has been nothing but kind to him since the day he has been here? Is it because Namjoon doesn't have a single bad bone in his body?

These thoughts scare Jungkook sometimes. He can't afford getting distracted. Letting his attention be diverted means risking the whole existence of The Young Guns and that's not something Jungkook is too keen about.

"That's so sweet of you, hyung", he says, smiling. Namjoon smiles back at him. Jungkook stands up to go to his room and change before Namjoon stops him. "Hey, it's fine. Your outfit is okay", he assures him.

Jungkook raises an eyebrow and looks down at his clothes. He's wearing a hoodie and grey sweatpants. Belatedly, he realizes he's wearing Namjoon's clothes and blushes involuntarily. "It's hot today", he says quickly to cover up.

Namjoon looks at him with a skeptical little smile. "Jungkook, it's like, twenty degrees outside", he chuckles. "You look good, don't worry. We'll also get you some new clothes".

Jungkook's eyes widen. "There's no need! You already bought me some of them before. I don't want you to spend so much money on me", especially when I'm doing all this just to fool you into trusting me with your life. He thinks but obviously doesn't say it out loud.

Namjoon waves his hand. "Don't worry about that. You're my guest, Jungkook. I think taking care of you is my responsibility", he teases. Jungkook feels it again. The guilt. It's hard not to like Namjoon but it's harder to not feel guilty about whatever he's doing with the  doctor.

"Y-Yeah. Thank you, hyung", he says, honestly. He doesn't like whatever Namjoon is making him feel, doesn't like that he's distracting him from one of his most important missions but at the same time he's grateful for his kindness (a part of him is also thankful for the doctor's nativity but Jungkook would rather not think about it right now).

"Don't mention it", Namjoon smiles. He checks the time on his watch before looking back up at Jungkook.

"So, let's go?"

Why do you think Jungkook is feeling guilty? What do you think he'd do to not let it hinder his actul intentions?

Ps. This is actually kind of a filler chapter before something big and dramatic happens. There will be one or two more filler chapters after this and of course I'm gonna show namkook being all domestic and cute while buying the groceries and clothes for Jungkook sksjsjsjs

I don't think this is gonna be super angsty besides the good old major character death (s) of course. Oh and just so we're in the same page, all of the members of the young guns and the serpentines are the main characters in this book. There parts matter as much as namkook's👀

Anyway, thank you for reading!
