Faith would always remember the moment her blood started flowing out of her body. She felt like she couldn't control her body. Dr. Tsing promised her she wasn't going to take a lot of her blood, and deep inside, she wasn't happy about it. But she had to follow Dante's orders no matter what was her opinion. Faith was starting to regain her consciousness the moment the rest of them were about to start. She turned around only to see Zack with his eyes half-open.
She blinked multiple times, trying to process what was happening around her.
"This feeling is so calming," the boy commented with a low voice. He was near passing out any minute.
She felt confused for a moment.
Zack was supposed to be in the middle of his treatment, but it seemed like he just started. She smiled at him softly and nodded to tell him that she was okay before passing out.
"Jasper?" She called out the guy's name, who was standing a little further close to Monty. She didn't know when they got here, but she wasn't happy about that.
Jasper made his way to Faith. "How are you feeling?" he asked, worried.
Faith breathed, and glanced at him lifelessly. "I've been better. Why is Zack still like that?" She asked suspiciously.
"He just started. Dr. Tsing said he needed to do a check-up first before he could start,"
Faith furrowed her eyebrows together and clenched her hands, squeezing the blanket. That was truly suspicious. Then in a flash, she turned her head to where Monty was laying. Her lips dropped open, no word coming out. She attempted to get out of the bed, but Jasper was fast to stop her.
"You're not fully recovered. It's a dumb idea," Faith looked at him angrily. She wasn't angry, but just worried to the core.
"Tell me he didn't start now please," She begged him to give get the information she was seeking.
"He's in the middle," Jasper answered. He made sure no doctor was around at the moment. "Monty came in, right after you and Zack. He was the second one."
Faith nodded to his words as a response and let herself fall back to the bed to rest a little longer. Her brown eyes never left Monty's bed, and so did Jasper's.
Finns' massacre at the Grounder village angered the Grounders. They demanded them to leave their territory as soon as they could before it was too late. They would kill every living human after the twenty-four hours. The citizens were terrified and freaked out. They needed a word from their chancellor, and now that Jaha was back safe, he seemed like he hadn't moved on from that title yet. They came out to talk to them together.
Minjun sighed. There was too much chaos, and she felt almost that there wasn't any point in this. She was not ready to hear any word that the two of them were planning to say. "By now, you've all heard the rumor, and unfortunately, it's true. The Grounders are coming," People shook their heads left and right disappointed at the confirmation of the rumor. "We have a very difficult decision to make. Thankfully Chancellor Jaha has found his way back to us, and we're discussing all options."
The word took Thelonious Jaha next: "But to be safe. We need to pack. Now. Whatever you can carry. We may need to leave at a moment's notice." An old man asked him next to where would they go if they couldn't stay here, and Jaha found his chance to talk to them about what he heard in the desert. "I heard of a place. A city of light. It's across the dead zone,"
The man hoped for a better life. They didn't have to stay here and fight when they could search for a place to live somewhere else. Minjun rolled her eyes and turned around she could excuse herself from this speech. She found herself face to face with Murphy. She rolled her eyes and walked away from him.
"Not happy about that?" The boy commented, looking at her.
"Of course I'm not happy about that. We still have people who need our help. My friends." She emphasized the last part to remind him what he did to all of them. The exact same moment that Clarke spoke for their people in Mount Weather. Jaha was willing to leave them there. What he didn't know was that they were about to start bleeding them.
Minjun's eyes met with Finn's guilty ones before the boy walked away into the dropship. That wasn't going to be easy.
Faith squeezed her stomach, groaning after puking for the fourth time today. "I'm fine," she tried to convince the rest of them, but it sounded more like she was trying to convince herself.
Zack passed her a towel. "Yeah, totally fine." he ironically said.
Harper helped her move her hair to the side and helped her do a messy ponytail. "Don't lie, Faith. You even puked more times than I did," she patted her back.
Monty chewed his bottom lip out of worry. He couldn't stand seeing her like that. "We shouldn't have let you do this," Jasper regretted this dumb decision.
"It was my decision, Jasper."
Monty extended his hand, which was holding a cup of water.
"You can drink the rest of it," Faith wanted to give it back to him, but she knew she was going to get a death glare from him if she didn't.When the rest of them left for dinner, they gathered up to discuss something they could do. They were tired of this and just wanted to find a way to escape. "We just have to hold on long enough for Clarke to find a way to get us out,"
"What if she doesn't find a way? What if she didn't make it? What if that's another story they're telling us to hide the fact they killed her? Then no one is coming for us, and we're doing exactly what they want us to do." Monty's questions, which were running to his head for a long time, came out to the surface. The rest of them were afraid to admit that they thought of that too.
"Jasper, you know you've thought it too,'' Jasper closed his eyes in despair."We can't just sit here like that. We need to take action," Faith spoke out.
Harper nodded. "Alright then. We escape."
"No. We find the truth." Jasper took turns to look at each of his friends. "How do we do that?" Monty wondered.
"We're criminals, right? So, let's be criminals,"
Zack smirked at this amazing idea of his. "Now you're talking."
Faith had heard rumors about why Zack was arrested back at the Ark but she never got a chance to ask him about that. Turns out she would.
