An hour passed, and now Jasper was spelling out the names of their dead friends like it was a brief poetic recital. Being reminded of their deaths was an unpleasant distraction for Faith. Most of their friends lost their lives at the grounder war, others by the Mountain men, and the rest of them were unavoidable tragedies like acid fog or getting killed off.

She brought back the memory of Wells in her mind for a second, but it didn't last for long when Jasper called out her best friend's name.

"Finn Collins. Death by Clarke."

Faith's fingers made their way to where her necklace was supposed to be, catching only air in its empty place. Her necklace was still fallen on the cold floor. Finn's name came out of Jasper's mouth like he didn't mean anything to him. Finn was Jasper's friend in the past, and the chip took away those memories.

She shoved her balled fist on the wall next to them, startling both Raven and Monty. She shouldn't get distracted by his words. Alie only wanted to make them break. It was working. "I gotta take it back." She mumbled.

"Faith, don't let him get to you." Raven insisted.

Raven also felt the pain; she took a deep breath and continued her task. They had to stay focused on their plan. It was their only goal for today.

Faith was going to act stupid when she inclined her head, throwing one last glance at Monty and Raven to make sure the computer screens were on again. She smiled with their successful step towards victory, which she would take advantage of.

Moving almost invisibly in the dark, she got out from the back door. She kneeled, crawling as quietly as she could to the hallway. It took her a couple of minutes, but thankfully Jasper was a little preoccupied playing the chipped soldier.

She grabbed the necklace, smiling widely.

Then she heard footsteps approaching, and Harper came into her point of view. The girl rolled her light brown eyes and asked them bothered. "Why did you guys lock the door?"

Monty's eyes roamed the area of the engine room, realizing Faith was gone. "She must have gone outside." Raven locked her eyes on the speaker, hearing Harper's voice instead of Jasper's.

The wounded boy ran to the door, pushing the button. "Harper, do you see Jasper?" His voice echoed from the loudspeaker, reaching both of the females' ears outside. Faith wasn't fast enough to warn Harper about Jasper, and he knocked her head on the door. The blonde girl fell with a thump, and a purple bruise forming around her eye.

Her palm flew to her open mouth, preventing any noise from coming out. She hid between the thin greyish walls, but it was too small to cover her body forever. She left a louder groan when her head bumped in a sharp corner.

Jasper grabbed a hold of her hair, yanking her to his chest. Faith hissed in pain and elbowed him in the stomach, forgetting he couldn't feel any pain. "Let me go!" she greeted her teeth but immediately shut her mouth when Jasper placed a gun on her head warningly.
