Chapter 12: Seperation

So me and Alison finally told my Mom about us. She was thrilled. I think it helps that she already knew Alison. It was kind of awkward though when Alison went to get my Mom's meds because my Mom came over to me and just said "Wedding bells??" I just looked at her and went "Mom, I don't know if she wants that." She looked disappointed after that but put on a happy face as soon as she saw Alison come back.

So that was the end of that trip. We drove down because we were 10 minutes away on a case so Hotch let us take time to tell her. Well anyway. We got back to Quantico the next day. Being at home with Alison was great. I found I couldn't sleep without her at night or get up in the morning without her being there. So I was nearly in pain when Hotch told me all of the girls were going on an undercover case for 5 days. Everyone, including Garcia was going. They were going to Miami. And they were pretending to be call girls to catch out pimps in the area. I really didn't like the idea of Alison or any of the girls pretending to be call girls.

So that night, Alison packed her bag and we spent every moment possible together. We did all the things we usually do. We went for our pre-dinner swim, had dinner, showered and watched a film. It was somewhat of a routine. So after the film we went to the attic and went out onto the balcony. We brought a blanket and slept under the stars. It was beautiful, her face under the moonlight. She glistens in the moonlight. Gorgeous.

So she had to go the next day. I was so upset. I couldn't even drive her to the airport in case someone saw her and saw me. It was heart breaking, but I wouldn't let her or anybody else know that. So I went straight to Quantico, later than I usually do. Hotch noticed something was wrong with me and said it to me. I just said I wasn't feeling too well but I didn't want to go home. I couldn't. Not to that empty house.

So I changed the subject and asked what case we had. He knew I didn't want to talk about it any more so went with me on the subject change. He just said "Ehh yea we have a case in Ohio. But we need more people on the team so Elle Greenway and Jordan Todd are coming back. And Kevin Lynch is taking over for Garcia. So we all have to pitch in to do JJ's role because no-one is actually trained to do her job" I nodded and went to the case room. As soon as Hotch started to explain the facts of the case, Elle, Jordan and Kevin came in. They didn't say a word, just sat down. Hotch didn't look too pleased that they were late but continued.

So we all boarded the plane and I sat with Elle and Jordan. I got on really well with Elle but not so much with Jordan. She didn't really commit herself when she took over for JJ. So we all started talking and we got onto the subject of partners. I asked if they were seeing anybody and I got a question instead of a reply. Elle asked "Why, you gonna ask me out?" She said this with a smile so I knew she was joking. I said "No, actually, I'm seeing someone." She looked at me and asked "Anybody I know??" I said "Her name is Alison. She is a member of the BAU. She's one of the girls out undercover."

Elle looked like she was trying to remember something and asked "What is her last name? I think I know her" I said "Alison Murphy". She looked really excited and said, quite loud I might add "You're dating Alison Murphy?" I just nodded and said "Shh you don't need to shout. And yes I am. And have been for quite a while."  She replied with "So you gonna ask her to marry you?" And then Morgan joined in the conversation with "Yeah you have been together for ages. You should ask her." "Would you all stop. I will ask her but give me some time, I do have a plan as to when I am gonna ask her and it is soon, but if ANY of you tell her I will kill you. Not literally, but you know what I mean" I replied with. He put his hands up and said "Hey man, I wouldn't ruin it for her. I'm more scared of what she would do to me if I told her"

 So we got on with the case. The week dragged out and took forever to go by without Alison. So I was so happy when Hotch said it was time to get back on the plane and head back to Quantico. The journey back was very long and I had alot to think about. When will I propose to her. Should I get one of the girls to ask her if she could see being married to me or not. I made the decision to ask her to marry me. I want to get everything just right so I'm gonna do it on our 1 year anniversary.
