Dedicated to Rose7420 this one is for you!!
You grabbed your phone and headed for your front door. Today was going to be a good day, a day where you got to have a nice walk on your own and a day where you can just be yourself. After all, the last few days haven't been good. Work, school, drama with friends, and the recent passing of your grandpa had you longing for a getaway for as long as possible. Stress was building up inside of you and you begged inside for a day to just let it out. Even trying to take medicine didn't always help.
If it was anything you wanted, it was peace and a time where you can just escape to your own little world, a world full of your favourite things and all-good doings. You wished for a time where you could just watch your favourite show or sleep and dream about your crush. And with that, everything around you seemed like a nuisance and a distraction from what you loved doing most. You tried to get by, and you usually do, and whenever you had the chance to relax you always made sure you did.
It was like a usual Saturday, where you worked from 9-5 pm at an annoying Wendy's, and you came home smelling like grease and disappointment. No one liked their job at Wendy's and the manager was horrible, but you continued to work there because you needed the money. You weren't exactly rich, but you wanted to make the big dream; to make people happy. Wendy's wasn't the perfect place, but you promised to toughen it out. But today was your day off. Which is something that almost never happens. Although you wanted breaks constantly, you did what you could to muster out the days that you had to work. Besides, who wouldn't want a little extra money?
You walked outside and you breathed in the fresh air that was all around you and a feeling of calmness washed over you. It hadn't felt like this in forever, and you were blessed to consume the good feelings that you succumbed to. Pursing your lips, you went and pulled out your phone to check the time.
"10:05," you repeated to yourself. "Perfect." Feeling satisfied, you began walking towards the sun's direction. From the distance you could hear birds singing and dogs barking in someone's backyard and even though most days it would have been taken as annoying, you exhaled in gratitude knowing you could actually sit and listen to the sounds around you for once. You looked down at your black shoes as you walked and took notice at how steady your footsteps were. You could feel each individual step you took and everything beneath and it almost puzzled you, puzzling like the feeling you get when you stare at a word too long and you wonder how that word even exists.
Once again you sighed and watched the trees as you walked by. Each one had different colours and certain leaves that brought out their uniqueness even more. The birds hung from the branches, singing their special songs and taking little hops on the grass to try to find their lunches for the day. It made you smile, to be happy about how each bird does their mojo to get around in life. Just like how you do.
You closed your eyes for a moment, imagining what it would feel like to be a bird. Flying free, nestling in at high places and singing lots of songs.
And when you opened them, you saw a flash of light and next thing you knew, you were falling into a deep, white abyss.
A Few hours Later.
You woke up with an immense pain on your side and everything around you was blurry. Slowly you sat up and blinked a few times, and a panic shot through you as you realised you were no longer outside, rather, on a very very large bed.
You stood up as fast as possible but the pain shot you right back down, and you groaned at the resistance your mind and body was giving. Moving your ahead around, you noticed and took in every single detail around you. Every detail, as a matter of fact.
