Bella's 18th birthday was a thing that she didn't want to celebrate, which is exactly why Athena hid a bunch of birthday balloons in the girls locker for a good laugh.
She had yet to see the girl though, as she went in between classes without seeing her cousin. And when she got a short message from Riley, saying that Bella was doing something with Edward instead of them, she grew mad. Halfway through English she finally snapped her attention to the lurker.
"Where has you brother kidnapping Bella to? She's supposed to be with family today" Athena's voice held venom, and Emmett couldn't help but flinch at the time of her voice.
"She's coming over for a party that Alice has done for her, family only" Emmett revealed, but he suddenly felt like hurting himself after a frown settled on Athena's lips.
"Family only" Athena repeated to herself in a lower tone that she didn't know he could hear, before she lifted her hand up and began to write some more random numbers to help herself from being sad, it looked like another time but she didn't fully take the whole thing in her grandma's journal for real. She let out a sigh, "I need coffee"
"I don't get why you're setting up a huge meal and everything, I mean, she hates her birthday with a burning passion. Besides, she's already late" Athena chatted on while she sat on top of a counter, opposite the one that Riley was setting up Bella's cake on, her dad had began to get worried and had tried to call the Cullen's household multiple times to find his daughters whereabouts. "I mean, she's two hours late and food it cold now"
Bella had not only ditched them the day prior for some time with her 'family' but now she was too busy to come to her make-up dinner with her real family? Athena was practically on fire there and then.
Riley frowned as she stopped placing the candles in the cake, and she let out a sigh before she spun around to her cousin, her brain working away slowly. "You're right, it's just...she hasn't been the same since she came back from her birthday with the Cullen's and I wanted to make it so she had a good memory about her birthday, even if it's a few days later..."
Athena's features softened and she went to reply, only to be stopped by a distraught looking Charlie who stood in the kitchen doorway with a grim expression. "It's official Riles, nobody knows where Bella is"
Athena jumped off the counter and began to talk in a haste to Charlie about what the right thing to do would be, and where she could possibly be.
"Called Billy and see if he has any guys that can go out in the Rez to look for her, call any help you can get at work...I think I might know a place she could've gone" She had instructed all of them as she took over the situation, "Athena, can you go and knock on a the Cullen's house? See if anybody was there?"
Athena had no time to take in the beauty of the house as she was too busy trying to barge down their door with her fist. "Hello?!" She shouted agin, she as getting extremely impatient, when she went to knock again the door swung open randomly making her eyes widen again. When she walked inside, she saw no furniture around or anything, it was as though there was no trace of the family that was once there and that shook Athena to her core for some reason.
"Hello?!" She tried calling again, before her phone began to ring and she answered it quickly. "Charlie, none of the Cullen's are here"
"Billy's here, he said the Cullen's moved out of town"
