"Technoblade?" Dream didn't turn but he could hear Chris speaking into the mic. "Hey! Techno, what are you doing?"

"Chris, stop it," Karl muttered. "Dream won. Techno forfeited,"

"No, Techno could have killed him, he wins," Chandler said.

"I'll be right back," Chris said. Dream shakily got to his feet, he could feel several wounds littering his body and he winced with pain. After a moment Chris and Karl vanished from the balcony, leaving just Chandler and MrBeast alone. Dream brushed himself off after a moment and stared at his broken mask. Pieces of it were scattered across the dusty earth and Dream staggered toward the iron door he had come out of, stepping on a few of them. There were two diamond swords, a shield that was split in half, an ax, a fishing rod, and Techno's crown littering the arena as well and Dream didn't stop to pick up any of them.

"Dream?" The iron doors opened and Dream saw Karl staring at him. "Get in here, are you hurt?" Karl asked. Dream said nothing and just walked in after Karl as they went to Dream's cell. Dream slumped to the ground in one corner of the room and wiped a stream of blood and sweat off his face. When Technoblade had sliced his mask off, he'd also left a shallow cut going from his forehead to his top lip, thankfully missing his eye. Karl sat down beside him after a moment and Dream didn't say anything, he was in too much shock to think straight and everything hurt. "You'll be fine," Karl sighed, staring at Dream worriedly. "Just a few scratches," Dream had forgotten to take his armor off and after a moment he peeled it off, wincing as it brushed a few scars Techno had left.

"George..." He muttered hoarsely, spotting the blue name on his armor. There was a long gash cutting through some of the letters and blood stained parts of it. He stared at the name for a while before setting the chest plate down gently and leaning back against the wall.

"People are debating whether to kill you or Technoblade," Karl said after a moment. "There can only be one winner," He sighed.

"And you stand for this?" Dream said after a moment, turning to look at Karl. Karl said nothing and looked away.

"There's nothing I can do," He shrugged sadly. "I don't have that kind of power,"

"Then why stay here, you have the choice to leave," Dream said. "Just run away," Karl said nothing and looked back at Dream.

"I can't," Karl said. "If I run away people will come after me and kill me, or force me to fight people," Karl added worriedly. "You saw how bad I am at fighting," Dream said nothing, he was still confused as to why he wasn't dead right now. Techno could have killed me. He should have killed me... why didn't he? Dream thought. "I wonder why Techno didn't kill you," Karl said, repeating Dream's thoughts. He shrugged and shook his head, still dazed from the fight. Dream stood up after a moment and walked out the already opened iron door. "Dream, where are you going?" Karl asked. Dream didn't stop as he walked toward the place he knew Technoblade would most likely be. "Ok... bye," Karl sighed as Dream walked away.

"I'll be back, I'm not escaping," Dream said, pausing before limping back down the halls. He noticed that there weren't any guards around and realized they were probably all still in the stands arguing about whether to kill Techno or Dream. Sick people. He thought, pushing the doors to the training room open. He was right, Techno was holding a wooden sword and Dream watched as he lashed out and knocked the head off one of the dummies. He didn't turn as Dream walked in and instead spun around swiftly and beheaded another dummy. Dream stood beside the doors and watched, he had no idea what to say.

"What do you want," Techno growled after a while, still not turning around. Dream didn't really know what he wanted. Answers I guess. He thought. He opened his mouth but then closed it, still at a loss of words. Techno turned to look at him after a while. "I asked a question,"

"Why," Dream said. Techno stared at him from behind that pig mask of his. Techno still held the wooden sword but he tossed it onto the floor after a moment and let out a long breath.

"Phil," Dream said nothing as Techno turned to look at the sword he had thrown on the floor. Short questions require short answers. Dream thought, staring at Technoblade.

"I'm not Phil," Dream said after a moment.

"You're like Phil," Techno looked up, his blue gaze glistening in the torchlight. "I've been in some sort of daze since Phil died, I don't remember the names of the people I've killed but I remember their faces," He hissed grimly, picking up another wooden sword and swinging it at a dummy. "I guess when I saw you I woke up," He didn't look back at Dream and slice another dummy, knocking the foam head onto the ground. Dream knew that daze, he killed so many people, and just like Techno said, he didn't remember their names but he remembered their faces.

"Well... thanks for- thanks for not killing me," Dream muttered, scratching the back of his head awkwardly. Technoblade said nothing and spun around to behead another dummy, flinging the head into a wall. Dream turned and left Technoblade to keep destroying dummies and opened the door. He accidentally bumped into someone on his way out and came face to face with Chris.

"Oh, hi," Chris said. "Have you seen Technoblade?" He asked. Dream nodded.

"He's in there," Chris glanced at Dream and then into the room, watching as Techno impaled a foam dummy.

"Huh..." He said. "Um... ok," He nodded to Dream and walked into the room. "Hey Techno..." Chris's voice grew quieter as Dream headed away until he could no longer hear him. Dream saw that Karl was still in the prison cell and snorted a laugh. He sighed and opened the iron door, settling down beside Karl and leaning against the wall. Karl snorted and looked up, opening his eyes slowly.

"Oh... you're back..." He sighed, slumping over again and starting to snore. Dream smiled and turned away, looking back at the iron bars. Right now he wasn't confused, he was focused on trying to think of an escape plan. One that would hopefully work.
