Dream woke up the next morning to the sound of someone banging on his iron door and saying his name. He looked up slowly to see Wilbur staring at him.

"What," Dream muttered tiredly.

"Why didn't you kill Tubbo or Phil?" Wilbur asked. "I know you could have,"

"Just cuz you can doesn't mean you should," Dream muttered, shifting slightly.

"It makes no sense though..." Wilbur said. "If I were you I would have definitely killed Tubbo,"

"Why?" Dream asked.

"Because he would have been trying to kill me," Wilbur said.

"And why not kill Techno's best friend since he killed your best friend?" Dream asked. Wilbur took a moment to realize what Dream was saying and he still looked confused.

"Why didn't you kill both of them?" Wilbur said. "Now that you say that, I'd have killed them both,"

"I don't understand what goes through your mind and I don't know you that well, but I do know that people only have one life and I have no right to take it from them," Dream said. Wilbur said nothing for a while.

"You're supposed to be the bad guy," Wilbur said after a moment. "Why do I feel like you're the only good guy?"

"I guess we'll never know," Dream said, staring blankly at Wilbur from behind his mesh mask. Wilbur stared at him a moment longer before turning and walking away, leaving Dream alone in the tiny room. After a moment Dream exchanged a few words with a guard and soon he was standing inside the training room. Tommy and Tubbo were there and they looked at Dream when he entered. Tubbo stiffened and Tommy sidestepped toward him a bit. Dream stared at them for a moment before heading to the axes and taking a wooden one. There were a few other people in the room, some of them spotted Dream and froze while others hardly seemed to notice him.

Dream walked over to a dummy and swung his ax, digging the dull wooden blade into its foam chest in on powerful blow. He heard some people start to mutter as he dealt another few blows and tried his best to ignore them. After a frustrating moment of hearing people talking about him, he reared back and beheaded the dummy with an anger-fueled swing before turning around to face Tommy.

"Are you proud, master?" He growled sarcastically, his ax angled toward the demolished dummy. Tommy didn't say anything and Dream noticed that he had most definitely scared Tubbo. Serves them right, holding me hostage like this. Dream thought angrily, turning around after a moment to face another dummy. He held up his ax and swung, this time striking it on the top of its leg and sending it into a wall.

"Calm down, Dream," Tommy called after a moment. Dream turned around to face him, still pretty angry. He was angry about a lot of things. One, he had escaped and then been captured again. Two, George was still dead and every time Dream thought of him his heart hurt. Three, Tommy was just such a frustrating person. It was just a fact. Dream marched toward Tommy, causing Tubbo to flinch back. He didn't pay any attention to Tubbo and glared at Tommy, wooden ax still in hand.

"Do not tell me to calm down," Dream snarled, his muscles rigid with anger. "You took me from my friends and almost forced me to kill a child. You're mad because your friend almost died at my hand but remember you're the cause of that. You chose a side, the side that does this to people," Dream indicated to the group of people that had been practicing with bows and swords, the people he might end up killing someday. "You people call me a monster, you say I'm evil, well just know that you did this to me!" Dream whipped around, flinging his ax across the room so that it skidded across the floor and stormed off toward the door. Before he knew it, he was back in his cell sitting on the floor with his back facing the iron bars.

"I think you should really calm down, Dream," Dream wanted to go find the nearest diamond sword and kill the man who stood behind him but instead he just sat still, refusing to look at him.

"I will literally kill you," Dream growled. "And then your friend," He turned ever so slightly to shoot Tommy a glance that he wouldn't even be able to see. Tommy didn't say anything for a while and Dream hoped he'd scared him. Let him have nightmares about me. Dream thought. Serves him right.

"Yeah, well, you're scaring Tubbo," Tommy said. Dream chuckled.

"Poor Tubbo," He laughed. "I'm so sorry I didn't kill him," Dream added with a growl.

"You're acting like we're the bad guys," Tommy said.

"Are you kidding me?" Dream said, finally turning to look at Tommy. He stood up and walked toward the bars so that his face was only a few inches away from Tommy's. "You put people in an arena and watch them kill each other," He spat.

"You're the ones doing the killing," Tommy growled.

"I escaped here and you came after me," Dream growled. "The moment I finally got to see my friends, you took me away from them again. Actually, you tried to force me to kill my best friend, and Technoblade ended up killing him," He hissed. "Now who's the bad guy?"

"Technoblade," Tommy scoffed, crossing his arms. Dream had to close his eyes for a moment a take a deep breath.

"You know what-" He muttered. "Just get the hell away from me," Dream turned around and sat back down with his back facing the iron bars again.

"Don't you tell me what to do!" Tommy snapped. Dream ignored him and shifted to lean against a side wall so that he could see the anger in Tommy's eyes, and so he could maybe get some rest. "Are you ignoring me? How dare you!" Tommy cried. Dream crossed his arms over his chest and leaned his head against the wall, closing his eyes. "I swear- if you fall asleep-" Tommy paused, sounding outraged. "Look at me when I'm talking to you!"

"Alright, mom," Dream scoffed, shifting so that he was facing a little bit toward Tommy. "I don't care what you tell me, Tomathy, I'm going to stay right here and fall asleep whether you like it or not," Dream said, turning away again and closing his eyes.

"Oh two can play the patience game," Tommy muttered. "And my name is Tommy, not Tomathy,"

"I know," Dream snorted, closing his eyes again. Dream heard shuffling and soon Tommy was sitting on the floor too just staring at him. Little nusance. Dream thought. This is why I don't hang out with kids. He opened his eyes, knowing Tommy would still think they were closed, and stared at him as well. He watched Tommy's emotions vary from annoyed, to angry, to hesitation to boredom. Yeah, two can play the patience game but only one can win. Dream thought, holding back a chuckle as Tommy sighed.

"Alright fine," Tommy said. "You win, happy?" He growled, narrowing his eyes. Dream didn't say anything and Tommy looked angry for a moment before sighing. "Are you friggin asleep?" He hissed. Dream still said nothing, hoping Tommy would get bored of staring at him and leave. "He's asleep," Tommy confirmed to himself. So you're one of those people who talks to themselves... weird. Dream thought. "Who's the bad guy," Tommy said, staring at Dream for a while. "I don't know who the bad guy is... which side is the bad side in this little war thing that's going on?" Dream shifted slightly and Tommy stopped talking.

"Someone told me something once," Dream said.

"Oh you're awake," Tommy said, shifting uncomfortably.

"There are no bad guys in war, just lots of people who think they're right," Dream shrugged. Tommy said nothing for a while, his blue eyes reflecting the torchlight. They were the same shade of blue as Technoblade's, almost replicas. "Ok, but now I really am going to sleep. Leave me alone," Tommy didn't protest and Dream shifted back into a comfortable position and closed his eyes.

"Huh..." He muttered, standing up. Dream squinted and watched as he left before closing his eyes again, this time he really did fall asleep.
