"No!" Dream yelled. Technoblade didn't even struggle. Why isn't eh fighting! Dream thought, torn as Techno allowed the guards to force him to his knees and then onto his chest.
"Dream! Run now!" Techno snarled, the sword falling from his grasp onto the sandy earth. Dream stopped again, torn. What do I do! He thought. Dream forced down his mingled emotions and ran toward the third door, vanishing into the armor room.
"Catch him!" MrBeast yelled. Dream ran through the halls as fast as possible. Right left right. He thought, recalling what Technoblade had said, as he turned the final right he spotted three people standing in front of the main door and stopped. Karl, Chandler, and Chris were waiting by the door with diamond blades in hand. Dream clutched his ax, prepared to attack them.
"We're on your side," Chris said quickly. "Where's Techno?" He asked. Dream said nothing for a moment.
"He- he's-" Dream wasn't able to finish the sentence and he just shook his head.
"Is he dead?" Karl breathed. Chris's eyes widened in shock and then filled with sorrow.
"No..." He muttered, dropping his gaze.
"We need to get out of here," Chandler said, yanking open the doors. Dream forced himself to move toward them and followed them out into the forest. He was so relieved. I'm finally free. He thought. But Technoblade and George are gone... Dream thought, a knot of sorrow in his stomach. Techno just let them capture him, why?
"Where is he," Chris asked after a moment, his voice hitching slightly. They really were friends. Dream realized.
"He told me he- he said he was coming," Dream stammered. "And I turned around and he- he let them grab him," Karl gasped and Chandler said nothing, Chris just looked disappointed and nodded solemnly.
"Where do we go now...?" Chandler asked. Chris shrugged and Karl shook his head sadly.
"I have some friends," Dream said after a moment. "They'd gladly take you in, Sapnap, Skeppy, Ant, Bad, George-" He stopped himself and sighed. "I mean, Sapnap, Antfrost, Skeppy, and BadBoyHalo," He muttered. The sun was beginning to set by the time Dream finally found his old home. He could see someone standing outside of one of the houses and he could faintly hear them yelling.
"George! Dream!" He recognized Bad's voice and felt a pang in his heart. He'd finally see his friend again. He hurried down the hill, not waiting for the other three guys, and gripped Bad in a hug before he could say anything.
"I've missed you so much," he whispered.
"Dream!" Bad realized who it was and hugged Dream back. "Oh my goodness! I've been so worried about you!" He said, pulling away from the hug. His hazel eyes glowed in the setting sunlight and he looked so relieved. "Don't you scare me like that!" He snapped, then he noticed that Dream's mask was gone and his eyes widened. "You have a lot of explaining to do," He sighed. Soon he saw the three people standing behind Dream and looked over Dream's shoulder. "George?" he asked hopefully.
"No," Dream sighed. "George couldn't make it back..." He muttered. "These are some new friends,"
"Oh... did he-?" Bad breathed. Dream nodded and Bad looked back at the three people solemnly. "Um... hi- hello," He said quickly. The three guys muttered greetings and nodded but didn't really say anything. "Where have you been? What happened to you- oh my goodness Dream, you're bleeding!" Dream noticed that he was bleeding from a large number of gashes. "Oh get inside right now, mister," Bad said, shocking Dream into his house. "You three too," Bad ordered. Chris, Karl, and Chandler walked into the house slowly and stood by the door awkwardly. "Don't just stand there, make yourselves at home," Bad said, nodding to the decently large house that surrounded them. Dream smiled slightly. Although he had lost some good friends, he was relieved to finally be free.
"Thanks," Dream said, taking a potion of healing from Bad.
"So what's his name?" Karl asked once Bad had left the room. "Is he Skeppy or Sapnap?"
"BadBoyHalo," Dream said. Chandler laughed slightly.
"That is BadBoyHalo?" He said. Dream nodded with a half-smile.
"Yep," He chuckled. Dream looked around for a moment before deciding something. "I'm- I'm gonna go on a walk," He said, heading for the door. The three guys nodded as he left. The cool night breeze greeted him as he headed a ways into the woods. The sunlight was just beginning to fade now, casting its final golden rays across the forest. Those golden rays reminded Dream of Technoblade's crown and he sat down on a rock, staring at the stars.
He'd lost George, his best friend, and Technoblade... he wasn't really sure if they were friends or not but he thought that given a few more days they would have been. He shouldn't have gotten capptured. Dream thought, watching as the sunlight faded altogether. The land was soon gripped in shadow and Dream turned his gaze from where the sun had been to the sky above his head.
Countless stars dotted the black surface like little fireflies in a dark forest and Dream couldn't count how long it had been since he'd seen them. Dream lowered his gaze to the darkening forest and for a split second, he thought he saw something white.
"George?" Dream said quietly. There was no answer and after a moment Dream noticed a little white rabbit hop out from behind a tree and look at him with shiny amber eyes. Those amber eyes looked like George's and Dream sighed. "Nevermind..."
I changed this chapter too. Hehe.
