"Dream...?" Technoblade hissed, the sword in his hand beginning to shiver slightly.

"Technoblade?" Dream gasped, his eyes wide. Techno stiffened and lowered his wooden blade and shook his head. "Why- why wouldn't they just kill you?" Dream hissed, a bit shocked.

"They won't give me the luxury of dying, I'm still the champion," Techno said remorsefully. Dream didn't know what to say, a moment ago he had thought Technoblade was dead, and here he was standing only a few paces away with a wooden sword, perfectly alive.

"Then why are you still here?" Dream asked after a moment, still a bit shocked.

"Why are you still here?" Techno snapped. "I said run," Techno paused. "I swear, if you got lost-"

"No, I got out," Dream said. "They came back for me," Dream muttered. Technoblade sighed. "Why are you still here, can't you fight your way out?" Techno scoffed and shook his head.

"No," He sighed. "There are too many of them, even for me,"

"Are they going to make us fight again?" Dream asked. Techno nodded.

"Probably," He sighed.

"We don't have to," Dream said. "They can't make us do anything," Techno shook his head slowly. After a moment of silence, the doors to the practice room opened and some guards called Dream away. He hesitated at first, staring at Technoblade to make sure he really was alive and free. Maybe I'm still asleep... maybe this is just a dream. Dream thought, turning and following the guards down to his old prison cell. When he got there one of them pushed him roughly in, jabbing Dream's ribs with his elbow, and a piercing pain struck him as he stumbled into the cell. This isn't a dream. Dream thought as the iron door slammed in front of him. It's more of a living nightmare.

Dream sighed, tossing some pebbles against the iron door and listening for the clicking sound they always made. Why can't I just be normal? Dream thought. I just want to be with my friends, I don't want to kill any more people. Dream looked up as there was a knock on his iron door and saw a guard standing in front of him.

"There's a fight happening in a few minutes," The guard said gruffly. "Come with me," Dream refused at first until the guard came in, grabbed his arm, and yanked him into the hall. Two more guards came toward Dream and he growled softly, annoyed and frustrated that there was ultimately no escape.

Dream was forced into the armor room where he saw his name was still marked on a set of armor. He spotted a man a few paces away and narrowed his eyes, glaring at the newcomer underneath his white mask. He looked fairly young, maybe not even an adult yet, but he was pretty tall.

"Hello, Dream," The man said. Dream thought his voice sounded annoying. "I'm Tommy,"

"Oh, cool," Dream said, rolling his eyes.

"Since Karl's a traitor, you belong to me now," Dream turned around to face Tommy and glared at him again.

"I belong to no one," He spat. Tommy grinned smugly and Dream silently prayed that his fight was against this man, although he knew it wouldn't be.

"Well, you're going to win me some fights," Tommy said. Dream growled and took his armor off the stand and put it on before grabbing a diamond sword. Part of him itched to turn around and kill Tommy, he knew he could, the kid didn't look like a very good fighter, but the other part of him wanted as little death as possible so he settled for just looking as threatening as possible. He stood still and leaned against one wall, staring at Tommy from behind his mask, and running his fingers along the diamond blade.

"Why'd they lock you in this room with me?" Dream asked. "I could kill you easily,"

"Ha, no way," Tommy scoffed. "I saw how you fought Technoblade, I'd beat you easily," Dream grinned silently.

"So you wanna go?" He asked. "Let's see if you can beat me," Maybe he could use Tommy's pride against him... Tommy snorted, suddenly looking a bit nervous, and shifted uncomfortably.

"We're not allowed to fight," He said simply. Dream twisted the diamond blade.

"Karl fought me," Dream said. "And Techno fought me,"

"Techno?" Tommy said. "You call thee Technoblade, Techno?"

"Yep," Dream said. "Problem?" Tommy said nothing and crossed his arms.

"Your fight is soon, I wouldn't want to hurt you too badly," He muttered.

"Sure," Dream scoffed. "Like you'd even scratch me," Tommy's eyes flashed with anger and he shifted again, seeming to debate something.

"Fine," Tommy said, grabbing a diamond sword. "I'll teach you not to mess with me," Dream snorted quietly and stopped leaning on the wall. Dream had to stop himself from laughing at his form. He looked so sloppy, he'd never be able to even land a blow on Dream and Dream knew that.

"You can attack first," Dream said, holding his sword out as well. Tommy grinned arrogantly and stabbed at Dream who shifted a hair and dodged. Tommy lashed out again and this time Dream held up his blade to block the blow and spun Tommy's sword out of his hands. "Wow, you're such a great fighter," Tommy growled and picked his sword back up, this time lashing out harder. Dream still deflected the blow with his own sword because Tommy kept trying to hit him in the same spot.

"You're not even trying," Tommy growled.

"You want me to try?" Dream said, spinning Tommy's sword again. This time the young man still managed to hold onto it and lashed out again. Dream dodged and smacked Tommy's side with the flat end of his sword lightly and then a bit harder on his shoulder. "Just give up, you can't beat me," Tommy lowered his sword for a moment and Dream was about to say something arrogant when Tommy suddenly whipped his hand around and smacked Dream on the side of the head.

"Ha," Tommy hissed. "You said I wouldn't be able to hit you-" He was cut off as Dream spun around, using the force he'd built up to smack Tommy so hard he stumbled and fell into a pile of armor with a gasp.

"I win," Dream said, aiming the blade at Tommy.

"Alright folks!" Dream heard MrBeast's voice above him and slowly drew his sword away from Tommy who was glaring at him with the anger of a large pack of wolves.

"And just in time," Dream snickered, walking toward the iron door. He kept one eye on Tommy, remembering how he liked to play dirty, and waited.

"That was just lucky, I'm so much better than you," Tommy snarled. Dream ignored him and the moment the iron door opened he headed out.

"On the right, we have an old friend, Dream!" MrBeast called.

"I'm not your friend," Dream muttered under his breath.

"And on the left, someone who's been here as long as Technoblade... Philza!" Dream spotted a man wearing white and green striped clothes and holding a diamond blade. He's been here as long as Technoblade? Dream stiffened and gripped his sword tighter as Philza walked toward him tentatively.

"No!" Dream looked at the balcony to see Technoblade staring over the edge in disbelief. "Phil!"
