// Third POV //It was a regular night for the guys in the Stray Kids dorm. Chris went to the studio after Kingdom wrapped up filming for the day. Lee Know and Changbin, who were their oldest hyung's sleep couch, demanded he be home before three so that he can sleep for four hours before having to leave again.
Jeongin wasn't in the mood to talk or hang out with his hyungs so he just stayed in his room while his older friends were in the living room. The six of them respected the maknae's privacy so they just left him alone.
Hyunjin was sick and tired of staying at the dorm all day and night while his friends got to film for the Mnet program. It was bullshit, why did he have to be the only one staying home?
The tall man got home from California a few days ago and he deeply misses it. He and Mark stayed up late, drank, swam, basically everything he couldn't do in Korea.
He loves his members to death but Mark was the chillest guy ever since he left the idol life and now that Hyunjin was back home, he felt both restful and depressed.
One of the things that Hyunjin learned the most from staying with Mark was that America was so lenient on things. In Korea, he was a kid but in the states he was an adult. He could drink and eat all he wanted and literally nobody cared! There weren't dumb-ass fans outside their dorm stalking them and there wasn't bossy hyungs telling him what to do, it was nice. A true culture shock.
At first, Hyunjin's hyungs felt sorry for him but after a while, it started to get repetitive and irritating.
Hyunjin wasn't just sulking, he was started to act like an American would. The Korean started to pick up swearing at every breath he took, drank every day and night, and refused to clean or do any chores around the dorm.
Chris scolded his younger brother. He understood that Hyunjin was going through a rough patch but he was just being straight up disrespectful. The members were at the filming studio from 6am to 10pm and as their roommate, the Stray Kids members expected Hyunjin to pick up a broom just to help out. But Hyunjin was just acting like such a bratty teenage kid and he was a grown man.
The eight guys tried to not talk about Kingdom in front of Hyunjin because it would just make their friend upset but since Hyunjin actually cared and wanted to hear about it, the others excitedly shared with their roommate.
Hyunjin knows he asked for it, but he couldn't help but get crushed at the fact that his members were having fun without him. He didn't want them to be miserable but he at least wanted some reassurance that his friends were missing him.
Hearing how happy they were made Hyunjin both sullen and downhearted.
When Stray Kids came home, they could tell the blonde was in one of his moods so they tried to just hang out and make him feel better.
Lee Know told Hyunjin not to drink any tonight because Chris would be upset if he found out his dongsaeng woke up with a hangover when he was supposed to be doing mass cleaning the next day while they were gone.
Hyunjin either didn't care or didn't take the oldest seriously because he has had over six glasses of soju so far and it wasn't even midnight.
Felix scowled at his best friend. "Hyunjinnie! Take it easy!"
The blonde drunkly put his socked foot to the younger Aussie's face. "Taste my toes."
Groaning, the dark-haired Aussie slapped Hyunjin's foot down.
"Hyunjin-ssi." Han shook his head in disapproval. "At least stop acting like you're jacked for god sakes, Minho and Changbin are going to kill you."
