// Third POV //
Surprisingly, with severe honesty, Chris hated Ahnjong.
Hate is a strong word that he doesn't use lightly, he's been taught that you should never hate anybody. Chris didn't understand it at first, but as he's become an adult, he's realized that when someone has this much hostile, vile rage toward another person, it destroys you mentally. Hatred was an easy emotion to feel but was addictive and toxic, it drives people mad.
That being said, Chris didn't technically hate Felix's new girlfriend.
He just had a terrible gut feeling about her.
Ahnjong met Felix at a cooking class that Felix briefly took in the Christmastime. Felix was sending baked treats back home to his family in Australia; He cooks a lot, brownies being his biggest success, but he always wanted to expand his horizon because he really enjoyed cooking, if he wasn't an idol, he'd definitely work somewhere in the food industry.
They talked. Ahnjong was a nursing student sometimes. Her stories changed every day. When Felix first met her, she said that she was studying to be a doctor. She was studying at one of South Korea's most prestigious medical programs.
Then somedays she would say she was going to be a real estate agent, claiming that she already had her license. Next she'd say that she was going to be a private school teacher and that she already had five jobs lined up.
Anybody else would've taken these very obvious and calculated lies as a red flag but not Felix.
That's because Felix understood her. He's not this way anymore but as a child, Felix was a pathological liar. He would lie about the silliest things, even if it wasn't a situation where he would get in trouble if he told the truth. To him, there wasn't a clear difference between truths and lies, facts and fiction.
His parents sent him to counseling and from there, Felix learned how to not stretch the truth. You might think it was a little unnecessary being that kids lie all the time, but in his case, it was affecting him more than he should have.
He was so embarrassed about this side of him, more often than not he would lay awake at night just remembering all of the ridiculous and harmful lies he told to people he cared about. Felix was a really sensitive guy, always has been, and lying like that was one of his biggest regrets.
So while everyone would have thought this girl was sketchy lying about such things, Felix wasn't turned off. He believed that everyone deserved to receive the help they needed; He was blessed to have parents that cared about who Felix would become if he kept going down that road, so Felix was never judgmental or too suspicious.
It only took them a month to get close. After class, they'd go to Ahnjong's car and make out in the backseat, her tinted windows disguising them.
Felix hasn't been with a girl since Australia. It's been so long since he's had a girlfriend or just a girl to talk to in general without having to worry about the company or his fans finding out.
