"Beware, for i am fearless and therefore powerful."

Hyunjin's eyes held dancing star lights. His painfully handsome features flashed the mirror and the sight of him made the glass become more clear.

"Who is that?"

Seungmin asked what he was talking about.

Hyunjin pointed at the banner with the quote.

"Oh! It's Frankenstein." The singer found the answer, raising his voice so Hyunjin can hear him. "You know, the book. By Mary something?"

"Mary Shelley?" I.N asked.

"Is that right?" Seungmin teased, "When did you get smart all of a sudden?"

I.N ignored the teasing. "Hyunjinnie hyung, it's insane how handsome you are."

Hyunjin blushed, embarrassed. "Where's that coming from?"

The maknae shrugged. "I just noticed."

"Thank you."

The dancer didn't like to be complimented on his extraordinary looks. Not that he was imperious, but he wanted to be noticed and praised for his personality, his devotion, his dancing, his voice.

Plus, his brothers were far more eye-striking then he was.

Like Chan for instance.

The lightning from the sky glowed Chris's face like a phantom.

Halloween night was stormy, it was freezing but warm inside the room-sized salon where they were currently being made up into costumes.

Felix has a messy, white-haired wig with a painted-on, clown-like, white face. His wig was pulled back with a light green headband, and his eyes were dosed in heavy, black eyeliner. He was dressed as a mad scientist; he wore a lab coat over a disproportionated tie and white pants with black loafers.

Seungmin was dressed as a goblin. Simple yet spectacular.

Changbin and Minho were both vampires, and Minho complained because it wasn't scary enough. He had this plan for all the guys to dress as the Firefly family from House of 1000 Corpses, but Chris told him that it wasn't appropriate.

I.N had on a giraffe onesie. He wasn't one for dressing up plus he wasn't feeling well.

Jisung was one of the red coats from Squid Games, still half-way annoyed at Minho since he agreed to do partner costuming with him like Hyunjin and Chris were doing.

Stray Kids's matz hyung was dressed as Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king, and Hyunjin was Sally, his love-interest.

He and Chris have been watching movies together since his last year and promised each other to go all out for Halloween. And they did.

Hyunjin walked to his king, who was laying down on his stomach, watching the lightning show while his kids were getting their makeup on.

"You know-" Chris started talking to no one in particular. "I watched this documentary about the Mt. St Helens Volcano Eruption of 1980, and there was this one guy who was on the scene of the eruption. He said that when the ash and smoke erupted from the volcano, the sky became as dark as night, and his words were that it was like 'Hell on Earth.'"
