Lily had woken up in the morning to a rude awakening. Marlene was shaking her awake begging her to get up and tell James to stop using the aguamenti spell to throw water on the girls dormitory's door. Therefore, that is what Lily did. She got up and marched sleepily out of the dormitory and decided to yell at James.

"I swear, if you don't stop right now I will turn you into a rock.", Lily swore threateningly.

"Evans! That's no way to talk to your Transfiguration professor" James remarked, exaggerating 'professor' "There's a little list we need to complete"he added as an afterthought.

"But first, I want a transfiguration lesson," Lily argued.

After a lot of yelling, James agreed to the transfiguration lesson and it was unsaid but agreed that tomorrow, they would carry out the first task. The lesson was in an hour since both of them were excused from Professor McGonagall's on the terms of the agreement that they would be studying. Lily stepped into the shower with her uniform in hand. She had forgiven Severus last night and hoped that it would be worth it. She liked Severus, she really did. He used to be nice and a good friend but ever since he started hanging out with Malfoy from Slytherin, his interest in the dark arts increased in abundance.

But, she had hope. After her shower, Lily grabbed her transfiguration books and left the common room. Halfway through, she encountered Sev who was also making his way to the great hall.

"Hey lily!", Sev piped up. "Wanna hang out after breakfast", he added.

"Hi Sev, can't hang out. I have transfiguration lessons with James."

Lily could tell that the preppy look on Severus' face changed to a look of loathing and disgust.

"I can see that you've picked new friends" he muttered under his breath but his message was as clear as water to Lily. 'Looks like you gave up on me.'

Lily was not in the mood for more drama with Severus. She nodded her goodbye and left without even finding out what's for breakfast. She went near the black lake where they had had their first transfiguration lesson and waited for James to arrive. He was, of course, late.

"You're late" Lily said blatantly, not taking her eyes off the textbook.

"Didn't know being a minute late was such a sin that Merlin would spank me upside the head", James joked.

"I would love to see anyone beat you up!" Lily replied.

"Remus has a tendency of doing it every once a month although he isn't really himself then."

Lily pulled James beside her on the ground and they worked on ch-5 which was about the 11th hour principle. After an hour of working with James which was fun since it consisted of jokes and James demonstrating countless spells on himself and laughing at it on his own expense, Lily figured that he really wasn't that bad. The rest of the day followed as usual. A lot of studying and petty quarrels with her best friend. Tomorrow, however, would be an interesting day.
