Looks Can Be Deceiving (Nymphadora Tonks x Reader)

Chapter One: The Interduction

March,10th,1989

Nymphadora Tonks and hand full of dungboms ran around the castle throwing dungbom's at unsuspecting victims. Nearly avoiding teachers and Perfect's.
As she turned a corner Tonks saw the perfect opportunity to get a smart Ravenclaw girl with y/h/c hair. As Tonks was about to throw the dungbom she froze. The Ravenclaw girl slowly turned around and smiled sweetly at the trapped Hufflepuff in front of her. "Name's Y/n Y/l/n, muggle-born Ravenclaw. And you are?" Y/n asked before smirking slight. "Right Frozen." Y/n's smirk only grew bigger. Tonks was stunned to say The lest. "And I do believe that dungbom will go off soon. So I can either let you out and we run, or you stay and get dungbomed by your own dungbom." Y/n said, removing her wand from her pocket. Tonks being unable to move or speak sat there hopeless. "Let it be then, Till we meet again, Nymphadora." Y/n smiled, placing her wand back in her pocket and walking away.

Two seconds after y/n turned the corner and was out of sight the dungbom went off, letting out a horrible stench that immediately attacked Tonks, sticking to her clothes, and travelling up her nose. She tried to ask for help but students that knew the counter cures where drove away by her stench. One thing was for sure though. Tonks would be friends with that girl if it was the last thing she did.

March,17th,1989

Tonks ran into the Library quickly, trying to shield herself from the dungbom outside. If the encounter with y/n had taught her anything it was don't ponder.
As Tonks looked around the library her eyes landed on the same y/h/c haired girl with Ravenclaw robes. She smiled and walked over to the girl. "I didn't get to properly interlude myself last time." Tonks smiled, sticking her hand out for y/n to shake. Y/n smiled tat the jester and took her hand. "I don't believe so, However your name is Tonks correct?" Y/n questioned. "Ya." Nymphadora smiled. "Well then I know a fair amount about you." She said and closed her book. "What do you mean?" Tonks asked easing her eyebrow at the girl. "Well being a muggle-born and all I have to watch out for pure-bloods, well pure-bloods that care about blood purity. Anyhow I remember reading about your Mum and Dad." Y/n smiled. "Where on earth did you read about MY Mum and Dad, there just boring old people." Tonks said, kicking back in her chair. Y/n rolled her eyes and hit Tonks with the book she was reading. "The black family tree, Andromeda Tonks née Black was kicked out of her family for marrying a muggle-born boy named Ted Tonks." Y/n read. Tonks sat up straight at the mention of her parents. They were really in a book. "That's so cool." Tonks exclaimed. "Not really, I heard about what some pureblood family's do when they kick out a family members, it's quit terrible if you ask me." Y/n sighed. "Well ya, but I mean my parents are in a book." Tonks smiled. Y/n smiled sheepishly at the girl. Y/n watched as Nymphadora's hair shifted from pink to Blue. "Your a metamorphosis." Y/n smiled. Tonks nodded happily. "Now that's cool, you could become a really good Auror with that power." Y/n smiled. "That's actually been my plain, I may look like all I do is play jokes on people, which is partly true, but I'm actually really good at school." Tonks smiled. "Shhhh!" Madam Pince Shushed the girls. Y/n rolled her eyes slightly. "I never go the point of shushing, it just makes it louder it doesn't actually solve the problem." She complained. Tonks smiled. "I know right." The girls talked and grew closer til they where kicked out of the library and had to go back to their dorms for the night.

March,18th,1989

Tonks hair had yet again changed. This time her hair was purple. Tonks threw on her robes and quickly walked to Potions, her first class of the day, thankfully she had it with Ravenclaw. However it was actually the only class she had with Ravenclaw for that day. On the way to potions she heard somebody gasp in pain and what sounded like a girl trying to hold back a cry of pain, but thought nothing of it. Having heard this multiple times before.

She sat in an empty seat in the back and waited for y/n, hoping she would sit next to her. When y/n entered the class she looked very upset and tired. Y/n's walked in with her eyes on the ground, she never looked at her surroundings and took a set next to a Ravenclaw named Tulip that was in there year. Tonks watched and y/n pleaded her hand on the table and Tulip muttered a few words casing bandages to rap around her hand. Tonks looked at the girls with Confusion till Snape started class, but even after he started the only thing that was clear on her mind was y/n.

"Hey y/n." Tonks said, stoping y/n in her tracks. "Tonks." Y/n smiled, turning around with an obviously forced smile on her face. "Are you ok?" Tonks asked with worry. "I'm fine, I just feel that's all." She smiled. Tonks looked from her hand to the bruise on her upper right cheek. "I'm not that stupid y/n, what happens?" Tonks asked again, reaching out and touching the bruise on y/n's cheek. "Its nothing, like I said I fell." Y/n said, Tonks gave her a concerned look while she turned and walked away.

Y/n wasn't lying, but she wasn't telling the full truth either. What had happed was a Slytherin named Merula Snyde was picking on her about being a muggle-born, just like she always had but this time she had a friend that liked to get more violent. Lisanne Froon. Lisanne has pushed y/n to the ground, making her hit her head on a floor and cut her hand open. "Hey, we can get in big trouble!" Merlua Yelled, pulling lisanne away from y/n, who ladies still in the ground holding her hand that was bleeding. "Going soft on me are you Merlua!" Lisanne exclaimed. "No, but if we get expelled then my mum will have my ares!" Merula yelled. Lisanne looked from Merurla to y/n and grunted. "Fine." She said quickly. Walking over to y/n and kicking her in the gut, making her gasp and hold back a cry of pain.

When y/n sat next to Tulip she panicked. "Want me to bandage you?" Tulip asked. "That would be great, if Tonks for some reason happens to see it might not be good." Y/n said. "Why, do you like her, dose she like you?" Tulip asked. "No, it's just I sense that kind of attitude from her, plus she's a Hufflepuff." Y/n said making Tulip laugh.
