It had been a few months since the incident and so far Lisanne and the boy had left y/n and Sebastian alone, but for some reason the thing Sebastian said after the encounter still rang threw Tonk's head. 'Have you notice her fingers' today Tonks has chosen to ask y/n about it, and She plains on getting an answer.

"Hey y/n we need to talk." Tonks said, her heart racing, y/n was in the middle of helping Sebastian with his Charms work. "Can it wait?" Y/n asked. "No, not really." Y/n nodded and told Sebastian she would be right back before leaving the room with Tonks.

"What happened to your nails, and don't tell me you don't remember." Tonks said, jumping right into the questions. Any other questions and y/n would have had a ready answer, but not this one. Y/n stayed quiet and looked at the floor, not uttering a word. "Tell me, and I'll make sure it doesn't happen again." Tonks said, grabbing y/n's hands. God she was impossible not to love. "M-my Mum Locked me in a closets my whole life, well at lest after me dad died. She though that I caused his death some how. This happened on my eleventh birthday, I clawed so hard at the door then my nails ripped off, and even after that I kept going. I just wanted a normal life Tonks." Y/n said, as tears began to fall down her face, Tonks to had tears filling her eyes as she pulled y/n to a hug. "You'll live with my family, this will never happen again, I promise." Tonks said, closing her eyes and stroking y/s hair, it had been a long time since she had actually cried and now that she realized what had happens she was embarrassed. "Sorry." She muttered, Tonks gave her a confused look. "Why, why are you Sorry?" Tonks asked, y/n just shrugged. "For crying, it's so unlike me." She shuttered. "Don't apologize for that." Tonks said, y/n nodded and pulled away from her. "I have to get back and help Sebastian now, so I'll see you later Tonks." Y/n smiled, kissing Tonks cheek and walking back into the portal hole. Tonks was so happy that she started to jump all around the halls on her way back to her own common room.

Tulip joins the four as they walked down to the black lake. Sebastian and Y/n where like brother and sister at this point, inseparable. "Seb, I've told you about my home live, can I know something about yours?" Y/n asked, Sebastian shuttered at the question. "Unfortunately it's much like yours, except I haven't been able to find a reason behind it." He said and looked at the ground. Y/n wrapper her arm around him and pulled him into her side. "Sebastian, there's never an ok reason to treat your child poorly. And sometimes the reason is in their heads." She said, Sebastian looked up at her with a sad smile. "Enough with the sad stuff, let's break a school rule." Y/n smiled as she ran to the black lake.

The water was colder then she was expecting so she quickly jumped out and sat on the deck, Tonks and Tulip laughed at her while Sebastian tried to cast the drying spell that y/n and him had been practicing earlier. He successfully casted it and y/n was dry in seconds. She jumped up with a smile and brought Sebastian into a big hug. "You did it!" She exclaimed, Tonks and Tulip clapped from behind them, Tonks just had the biggest smile on her face seeing how excited y/n was.
