Looks Can Be Deceiving (Nymphadora Tonks x Reader)

Chapter Six: Holidays

June, 27,1989
Y/n threw in four outfits and a sleeping bag that Tonks was letting her borrow. "Ready girls!" Andromeda asked. Y/n grabbed her bag and started to their car. "Mum said she packed a cooler, and stuff to start a fire." Tonks said, climbing into the back seat next to me.

Andromeda stoped then off in the woods and smiled. "Ok girls, be good I don't want to have to pick you up early. If you walk down the road about a mile or so our cabin is there so if you get to scared just go there."Andromeda said with a smiled. "Thanks mum." Tonks said, giving her mother a kiss on the cheek before Andromeda drove away.

Tonks set ups the fire while y/n set up the tent. There was only one big sleeping bag so the girls had to share which they where both ok with. Tonks walked off into the woods to find sticks so they could make hotdogs and s'mores.

Tonks came back ten minutes later with wood for the fire and two skinny strong sticks so they could make hotdogs. "Thanks tonks." Y/n smiled. "Of course, I like hanging out with you." She smiled. Y/n and Tonks made hotdogs and then talked aout magic while they waited for their s'mores cook. "What happened to your nails?" She asked, y/n was taken aback by that question and looked at her hands. "Oh, um I dont remember." She shrugged, although she remembered quite vividly.

They ate there s'mores and then went on a walk in the woods were they found a little stream, flowers where placed around it. The wind blew just so that it was t cold but it moved the leaves that had fallen. "This is beautiful." Tonks said, dipping her hand into the stream, watching as sand rows to the top of the water. "It is." Y/n smiled, although she wasn't fully examining the forest around her, rather the beautiful girl that stood just inches In front of her. "You know Tonks, not a lot of people like the woods like you do." Y/n smiled, Tonks looked up with a big smile on her face. "It's just so beautiful, how could you not love it?" She laughed. Tonks started to take her shoes off and dipped her feet in the water. "Join me." She smiled. Y/n took of her shoes off and took a seat next to tonks, dipping her feet into the cold water. "It's cold." She shivered. "What did you expect, a hot tube?" She joked. Y/n smiled and shook her head. "No, I didn't expect it to be freezing though." Y/n laughed.

The girls sat and talked about the sun and the moon for a while before removing their now cold feet.

They opened the tent and climbed in side to warm there feet with the planets while laughing hysterically because Tonk's had tripped on a tree root and landed on her tent tearing it down. "Look is like I'm staying in your tent." Tonks laughed. "Said who?" Y/n asked with a serious face, Tonks face dropped making y/n laugh more. "I'm kidding of course you can stay in my tent." Tonks let out a breath of relief and smiled.

July,11,1990
   The next week was full of building and running around the woods, they had built a little cabin just big enough to fit both of them. They didn't make a floor so they had to place their tent in it which helped with the tent not collapsing. When Tonks has tripped and tor down her tent it had ripped so they used that to place over the wood cabin when packing up so it didn't corrode to much.

Andromeda picked them up and smiled at the cabin. "You know, that's how mine and your fathers cabin started out, just a small pile of sticks, now it's fully functional." Andromeda laughed, the girls looked at each other with a big smile on their face.

When they got home Tonks jumped on the couch and let out a sigh. "It feels so much better to be sleeping on a bed then the floor." She said, closing her eyes. "Well technically your on a couch." Y/n smiled taking a set on the floor next to Tonks. "Hey, let's watch dirty dancing." Tonks smiled. Y/n looked up with a confused look. "I've never seen it." Y/n said. Tonk's eyes widened. "You've never seen dirty dancing!" She exclaimed and jumped off the couch, and grabbed a black rectangle. "Mum we're watching dirty dancing!" Tonks Yelled and popped it in.

  About halfway threw the movie Andromeda joined them and smiled. "Popcorn girls." She smiled the girls didn't even pull there attention from the tv. Andromeda smiled and set the popcorn between them, leaving them to finish their movie.

    "Nobody puts baby in the corner." Tonks smiled, taking y/n's hand and lifting her out of her chair. Y/n smiled and followed Tonks around the room while the danced. Y/n looking like a wet spaghetti noodle. "Loosen your shoulders." Tonks laughed. "If I loosen my shoulders anymore I'm going to  be an overdone spaghetti noodle." Y/n laughed. "Fine, move with the beat." She said, changing the song to something slower. Tonks instantly hit her elbow on the desk and fell to the ground in a fit of laughter. Y/n turned off the music and took a set next to her. "I think that's enough dancing for one night." She laughed.
