Sunday night arrived and Lando had left Natalya's apartment in Madrid to fly back home. They had a nice dinner the evening before and it left Natalya to think about everything. Initially, she wanted to tell Carlos that she would be joining Lando to his trip to Moscow and meet his partners and close business environment. She changed her mind soon after, deciding she might not get to know anything in Moscow while Carlos expected her to bring home more knowledge about Lando's business. If she just didn't tell him about it in the first place, she would prevent any disappointments. Natalya decided to keep it like that. That way she didn't lie to Lando nor Carlos. Natalya had gotten her bag ready and she locked her door behind her to get down to the exit. Gianluca was already waiting for her and he opened the door of the car.
"Good evening, Natalya," he spoke to her. "Hi," she muttered, getting into the car. Gianluca moved to sit behind the wheel. "Did you have a nice weekend?" He asked. "Definitely," Natalya hummed in response. "I already assumed that he's good to you," Gianluca continued, of course meaning Lando. "He is," Natalya replied, not going into detail at all. She looked out of the window as he drove away from her apartment building. Natalya gnawed at the inside of her cheek before speaking up again. "Can I tell you something? It's secret," she said. It made Gianluca glance over at her in the rear view mirror. "If it can be dangerous, then I don't want to know," Gianluca replied and she remained silent after that. "Natalya, what is it," he said afterwards. "You didn't want to know if it's dangerous," she shrugged.
"It's my job to keep you safe, I have to know," Gianluca changed his mind. "But I can't tell you if you think it's your duty to tell Mr. Sainz. I don't want him to know. Can I trust you or not?" Natalya replied. "Natalya, he's my boss, I-..." "Can I trust you or not?" she repeated. "Puta madre, si," Gianluca exclaimed, taking a deep breath afterwards. "In two weeks I will join Lando to Moscow to meet his partners. I'm asking a weekend off because I will be spending time at his apartment in London. Sainz doesn't have to know that I'm going to Moscow," she said. "Why doesn't he have to know? That will give him so much intell on the case," Gianluca stated and she nodded. "Yes, but he will have high expectations if I meet Lando's partners, while I'm just joining him to a party. I might not get to know anything at all," Natalya said.
"Of course you will, we both know that," Gianluca answered, making her purse her lips together. "Why are you doing this, Natalya?" he asked, halting the car in front of Carlos' club meanwhile. She was silent for a moment before she gathered her stuff. "Because I want to come back with good information and not a sloppy story he won't be interested in," she decided to tell him. She opened the door and got out of the car, which made him follow her out. "It's okay to admit that you feel something for him, Natalya," Gianluca softly said, which made her stop in her tracks and she briefly looked at him from over her shoulder, not answering anything while typing in her code to enter via the back door. Gianluca followed her silently. While he didn't agree with her choice, he would never betray her. Her secret was safe with him.
Natalya clocked into the system and made her way to the dressing rooms, deciding to think about what she was going to tell Carlos. She was preparing for her act alone, the silence surrounding her was much appreciated. Natalya went through her usual routine, getting her makeup done and her hair too, getting dressed in a sparkly dress this time. She was up at the VIP Lounge today anyway, knowing that the night would be rewardful. She looked at herself in the mirror before getting her heels onto her feet and she stood up. Some heads turned when she walked through the hallway, nearing Carlos' office. Natalya knocked before entering, seeing him behind his desk. He looked like he had a long day and he just looked at her while she moved towards his desk. "He and his partners are taking over an oil distributor and its complete connections," Natalya started.
"In Moscow?" Carlos leaned a bit back in his chair. "I don't know where the oil company is located," Natalya replied. "I hope I will get to know that soon. He expressed that he trusts me, although I can't ask too much," she said, making him nod slowly. "He has invited me to London again in two weeks time," Natalya continued. "You have my permission to go. I'm sending Gianluca with you this time," he said and she nodded. "Nice work," Carlos complimented her. "He spend time with you in Madrid, right?" Carlos asked. "Yes, he did," Natalya said. "Expressing his trust is a large step," Carlos spoke. "You're doing this excellently, Natalya. Thank you." She felt relieved that he was satisfied, however she knew that the plan she was following would be risky. She just hoped that Carlos wouldn't find out that she was in Moscow with him, while she told him she would be in London. That could consequence terrifying things.
"Welcome home, bro," Billy Monger grinned when he saw his partner walking down the steps of his jet. "If that isn't Billy Whizz," Lando replied, shaking his head at the fellow mobster who stood there. "Long time no see." The two shook hands and briefly embraced each other. "You look tanned, where did you come from?" Billy asked, shoving his hands in the pockets of his slacks while they slowly walked to his car. Billy was one of the partners Lando respected a lot. He knew the war he had gone through with his crew, where he had lost two of his legs. He adjusted to his new prosthetic legs and he had made his way back up to the top, something not many of his former colleagues could have done the same way. "Madrid," Lando replied. "Visited my partner's club," he added. "Hmm... Just your partner's club or are you using a new, floral perfume?" Billy asked, causing Lando to scoff.
Natalya had worn the button-up he was currently wearing. He thought of the moment she had used it to cover herself after they slept in on Sunday morning and it probably smelled of the body mist she used, mixed with the feminine scent of her perfume. "Alright, alright," Lando gave in. "One of Sainz' girls has caught my attention." Billy's guards opened the doors of the SUV and they moved onto the backseat of the car. "A Spanish one, huh?" Billy hummed. "She's Russian," Lando explained. "But fluent in Spanish and Italian. I wouldn't be surprised if she can speak another ten languages," he chuckled. "She's really intelligent," Lando added. "You're fond of her," Billy noticed. "Fucking hell, I am," Lando sighed. "I didn't plan to, she's part of another crew after all." Lando gnawed at his bottom lip. "She probably doesn't know anything of what's going on behind the scenes," Lando said.
Billy was silent for a moment. "If she's really intelligent as you describe her, she maybe doesn't need to hear things to know what's going on," he shrugged. "Do you have a picture of her?" Billy asked and the corner's of Lando's mouth went upwards. "I do, but I'm definitely not going to show you," he replied, causing Billy to laugh. "I see how this is going," The fellow Brit joked. "She's just... magical in a foxy way. It's weird to see the sort of power and dominance she radiates when she's working or when another woman is trying to flirt with me. She's astonishing for sure," Lando leaned his arm on the door of the car, briefly moving his fingers over his chin. "She sounds feisty," Billy answered. "Feisty in a way that can get her in trouble," Lando followed up. "Will you be there for her when she gets in trouble?" Billy asked, making Lando look over at him. Billy's face had become serious.
"Her troubles are her troubles and nothing I can help her with when she's still in contract under Sainz," Lando replied, however when he spilled the words over his tongue, he already knew they were a lie. Because Natalya had him wrapped around her finger and he would do anything a lot for her. "I like how you keep putting yourself in difficult situations, Norris," the other mobster joked. "Haha," Lando replied sarcastically. "I'll shoot you right here, right now. How do you like that?" Billy rose his hands in defeat, still laughing at his partner nevertheless. The car halted and they briefly had to wait till the gates were opened and they could drive onto the porch of Billy's villa. The apartment was huge, showing the empire that Billy had rebuild while revalidating from the war between his crew and some rivals.
The car stopped and the doors were opened for Billy and Lando. They got out and Lando followed his partnert to the large doors of his house, which were opened once they arrived. Billy directed Lando straight to his office. Lando took a seat on the opposite side of Billy, who sat down behind the desk himself. "Come in, darling," Lando looked over his shoulder at a tall brunette, who made her way inside, carrying a plate in her hands that held two glasses of whiskey. She put it down and gave them a bright smile, however Lando wasn't really impressed. No woman could impress him like Natalya did. He shook the Russian off his thoughts and looked down at the papers in front of him. "Alright, I have some real estate for you," Billy started. "Loan sharking here and there, extortion, you know, the usual," he summed up, sitting back in his seat. Lando nodded, taking the papers in his hand.
Billy gave him the time to read them through, however Lando didn't take long to lift the pen and sign it. "My assistant will transfer the money to your account," Lando commented, making Billy nod. They did business together long enough to know they could trust each other. "I'm in Moscow soon. We took down Mazepin's oil company and the Uralkali mines will soon be taken over too," Lando explained. "Money-wise it's a gold mine you're opening up there," Billy said. "For sure," Lando nodded. "That's a nice circle of contacts you're making in the east," Billy continued. "Something many of us could be jealous of," he grinned. "You know, we're like the two great powers in the middle," Billy said. "I have ties with Canada and Greenland and you're on the other side with Russia and Poland," Billy summed up.
"We're just great businessmen," Lando concluded. "I drink to that, my friend," Billy lifted his glass to clink it with Lando's. "And to your Russian girlfriend, comrade," the Brit winked and Lando flipped him the finger.
